A freinds car, full weight '87 GN...

540+ HP @ 5500 rpm on a dynojet, these are the corrected #'s
610+ TQ @ ?, again corrected #'s

The HP was still going up when letting out @ 5500 rpm. Expected shift points are 6k rpm when at the track.

What do you think the car will run next week @ the track (1/4mi.)??

11.0@124. Why did he let out of it on the dyno? Will he be doing this at the strip when he hits 5500:confused: ?

There was an issue with the tach for the dyno reading inaccurately, when checking the datalogging the car was only at 5500 rpm. At the track he will be pulling 6k+ rpm. At 5500 rpm the PTC probably was not at it's most efficient coupling either. I'm thinking 6k-6200 rpm.

Based on the dyno numbers at 5500 id think the PTC was spec'd to couple way sooner than you posted if it is on of Dusty's specs. Mine was at 3% at 134mph (5750 rpm) with a 27.5" in tire and 3.42 gears. I dont know the combo but unless it has race ported aluminum heads on it i doubt there will be any benefit going over 5800. Fwiw my car accelerates the best from 5100-5500. Right where it spends over 90% of the entire pass with the PTC 9.5".

It's one from Dusty, and the only one that I didn't write down the info. from it. I believe it's at least a #17, but would have to look at the converter or call Dusty to know for sure. The car did have a small diameter tire on it for the dyno session. (less than 26")

Better get some real tires on there or you arent going to e.t. too well. At least a 17? What turbo cam and ci are you running? What intended boost level?

He has "good" tires for at the track. I'm assuming it's atleast a #17, because the converter I have here for the billet 6768 is a #17. The car in question... 231cui., 206/206 high lift billet roller, iron heads, FMIC, 70-HPQ, lots of boost (30PSI+)...
