When dyno'ing a car, the converter can appear to be very inefficient if the operator doesn't roll into the gas at a very low rpm which is nearly impossible with the 200r's. Most of them will kick down and the converter will never recover. I have seen some slip 20% on the dyno and 8% at the track.

We have a local guy that has put down similar numbers.
He went 11.1 @123 ish. A street car will not ET as well as a race type car.

That car is slow. I was thinking 14.20's @ 66 mph.

HAHAHA:biggrin:

I think 3000-3200 was about as low as i could go w/o it downshifting. I made 7 pulls, and it downshifted on 2 of them. I wasn't looking for HP #'s really. just wanted to make sure all the FAST values looked good--which they looked great!

We have a big grudgefest coming up April 5th, so i will report back after that how the car does.

Knowing what the car has run before on a foot brake, and now using a t-brake, I will say it should run 10.82 @ 124. But I will be there in person to find out.

He has "good" tires for at the track. I'm assuming it's atleast a #17, because the converter I have here for the billet 6768 is a #17. The car in question... 231cui., 206/206 high lift billet roller, iron heads, FMIC, 70-HPQ, lots of boost (30PSI+)...

K.

Should run very low 10's at 133-135mph at 30+psi

Knowing what the car would MPH before, even with gremlin issues, on the old combination... My guess is mid-10's @ 130mph.

Not knowing the combination he/she is running, I say 11.65@130. Hey, I love that top end charge. ;)

My old car dyno'd 605/648 and ran consistent 10.40's @ 130 mph. Best 60' was in the low 1.6's, not spinning. Slow spool from the tune in the fast and wrong converter.

Not knowing the driver or tuner, I'm guessing 10.30's 129ish.

I'm 'gonna hafta say... probably around a 10.80-10.90 @ 122-124.

The only Buick of mine to get on the dyno made 498hp at the rear wheels and ran 11.15 @ 121 with a 1.60-something 60ft time. (This was with a shot of nitrous)

I actually have a video of the dyno run. :D

This is just a time-killing exersize in futility--trying to made a WAG on incomplete info provided--but some will try for "I told you so...".

Oh well (I'm joining the herd...), here goes my SWAG w/ only WAG info provided:

10.855 sec & 124.555 mph

Pls remember, I told you so!

Teaser info:--The car trapped 123.7 mph a few months ago...with the tranny slipping on the 1-2 shift and then grossly slipping on the 2-3 shift. Tranny is now repaired and boost is +4.5lbs and timing is +1.5% over the 123 run.

I can't thank NCTURBOS and BoostingBuick enough for their help with this car... I could actually care-less what it runs....it is a 100% more enjoyable car to drive than it was several months ago!!
