I was gonna paint my fan shroud with rattle can Duplicolor "flexible bumper coat" to freshen it up a bit.

My question is how should I deal with the emissions tag .. it's about 80% attached. Should I remove it and read attach after the paint or mask and run the risk of not being able to get the tape off.

If I remove the tag, what should I use to put it back on with?

Thoughts, suggestions, tricks?

You still have a shroud? Electric is great because it gives you a lot more room.;)

I have the correct emmissions tag NOS on my rad top plate stainless piece. If you want I would repaint the entire thing and see If i can remove it. Or buy a set of ele fans and my top plate :)

i fixed my fugly stock fan shroud by putting in a 3 core radiator that i got out of an 84 Cutlass that i was parting out, and held the radiator in place with the top plate from the same car... then i put a 16" Hayden fan that i got from a junkyard for $10 ion it with some custom brackets made out of plastic from some other car i was parting out at the time, which is controlled by the TurboTweak chip in the 87 ecm that i swapped in.

86-87 ECM, TT 5.7 to run the powerlogger are this winters expenditure. So, elec fans might be the end game anyway.

Thank for the input guys!

Well at least it looks less shitty.
