Head porting again

Figured I would start a new thread. I tried my hand at porting on a set of heads didn't go well I went thru the roof at an intake port.....
Found a set of heads from a buddy they have over sized valves guides have been machined with bronze inserts on both sides look like ferria valves My question is with the guide inserts should I still wack the guide hump completely off the exhaust side?

Have not decided if I'm going to knock the humps off the exhaust side yet.
