Antitheft in the chip? I dunno from there, I just know that the problem you were having is from the EPROM not seating. Ive done thousands of chips for these cars, Ive pretty much seen all the symptoms :)

Sorry just went and reset everything once again, SES blinked once than stayed ON. Any ideas?

Pulled plug no fire, exchanged emails with Eric/TT and he said my chip has no antitheft. Anyother suggestions I think ECM issue is resolved?

Did the car actually run before this or have you changed a bunch of stuff?

Did you check the CCCI fuse?

Everything in my sig. is brand new except LT1/Translater bought from member, fresh block never started since build. However I did pull a few things like sensers and a few miscellaneous things from my old motor that was running when I removed it. I hate to sound stupid but break it down for me a little "CCCI".

Its the fuse for the ignition module in the fuseblock. Its all the way at the top of the fuseblock and its labeled CCCI.

I think you can rule out the chip as the problem. Id make sure the ECM has power (Pretty sure it does as to how its acting with the SES light) and from there, check your crank sensor and make sure it didnt get grenaded by the balancer from being set wrong.

Check all your pertinent fuses as well.

Jay I just got under car, crank senser wire was off. I plugged it in car seems to be getting fire now but is coughing after about three seconds of turning ign. kinda dragging like as if timing is off. I set cam senser with caspers tool. Still want start though.

Sounds like your cam sensor isnt set right. Did you make sure the motor wasnt 180 out when you put the cam sensor in?

Also, I know this will sound stupid but check to make sure you have the plug wires on in the correct position.

Nothing sounds stupid to a listening and willing ear. I'll double check plug wires. I set cam senser last night but I think you may be right. Do you have any good info as to how to get to the cam senser bolt, it took me about 30 min. last night just tring to tighten bolt. I tried a socket, extention, swivel but it wouldn't fit under ear on cap, so i wrenched it swapping ends and turning wrech over about a 100 times. Also CCCI fuse is good.

A 1/4 inch wobble with a long extension works pretty well for getting down in there.

Did you pull the motor? If so make sure the Inj harness is plugged in, or if you changed head gaskets make sure you didn't pinch the Inj wires between the intake and block. Check the bolts under the coil pack make sure the grounding points are good. Check the harness going into the coil pack is it in all the way? It seams to me your problems have all started once you did this Caspers ground kit, am I wrong?

I use a 9/16" 1/4" drive socket. I put the socket onto the camsensor bolt head first and then insert the 1/4" drive extention. HTH.

Yes I did put a brand new motor, fresh from the machine shop in. Injection harness is in, I double checked. Heads came already bolted on from machine shop. All grounds are good, caspers ground kit has been on sents old motor, I just swapped motors and did a lot of cleaning. Injectors are all plugged up also, nothing pinched.

Ok I just went and reset cam senser, got everything put back together, reset ECM. Turned ign. car turn over for a second coughed a little, fire up for about four or five seconds then died. Kept cranking on it but just some wishful cranks with some coughs. Rechecked plug wires, they all in the right locations and I repushed all firmly on to plugs.

Is the Oil PSI switch under the turbo plugged in right? That will cut the fuel. Some times the grommet gets scammer from oil dripping on it making it hard to get the 3 connections to slip together. Hows the crank sensor?

The oil sensor doesnt have to be plugged in. If you unplug it, the car runs without it.

Couple things for you to look at.

Check that the TPS is in the ball park,

Check the Translator wiring, you can plug the MAF jumper harness in backwards.

Are you certain the Cam sensor is installed properly?? there are 2 positions of Top Dead Center. One When it fires and one on the exhaust stroke. your syptoms sound like you are out 180 degrees.

PM me if you havent figured it out by Sunday. I can maybe take a ride over there and put a new set of eyes to this problem. Cant say I can fix it but I sure have seen alot of wacky stuff over the years with my TR's.

I have not checked TPS, cam senser is still questionable. I realigned 25% mark to "0" than looking at motor from drivers side, window on top of CS was around 1:00, so I than turned adjustment to about 3:00 " plug on cap would be toward front bumper". Than slowly turned counterclock until LED first came on, than tighten down bolt. I still need to check translater.

87NAT I work shiftwork and will be working till 6:30PM Fri, Sat & Sun. So I'm kind of limited to my GN till Monday.

I relation to dropping the whole cam sensor into the block, with 25% mark set to zero. Does it matter which way the window on cam sensor is facing?

Also would have TPS being set at .38 given me any start up issues? I have not tried starting since setting correctly .42.
