I have a small hole in my seat thats smaller than a dime. The problem is that the more i'm sitting on it the more it's pulling the material and making it get worse. I'm assuming that this is a common problem and likely the cause of why I see Buick TR seats that look like cats clawed them to death.

The only thing I can think of is taking some fabric glue and applying it to the area in hopes that it will bod the existing material to the foam and prevent further tearing.

Anyone have any other ideas? These are 50K seats that I want to remain looking like it.

Short of re-upholstery, I'd try to glue a patch in place. Have you stopped by any upholstery shops to see what they recommend?

"Seal All" from Autozone, etc. See if you can get it on the bottom side of the hole. Haven't used it for that purpose myself, but for about everything else.

I'll check that out. Like I said this is basicly a tiny hole that is in the middle of the front seat. When I sit on the seat I can see it pulling on the hole and I know it's making it bigger. It's ashame because my seats are mint with 50k and it's not doing it from wear but rather age.
It also may have something to do with the car sitting for 20 years and leaking water through the windshield right on to this particular area of the seat. It probably softened it up a bit.

Car covers are your best bet. Mine has 67k on it and interior looks like new. Last owner kept it covered and I kept it in a garage the last 10 years. The sun is one of your cars worst enemies.
