Guys... Has anyone tried to clean their hood liner? I tried just about everything. I don't want to buy another because its in good shape except for the years of grime and weird white powdery looking crap that won't come out. I have seen replacements and they aren't even the same design. Any idea's on the right cleaning product?

I tried purple power on areas where oil had gotten slung up let it set for a few minutes and sprayed it off w/the hose. Just don't forget to cover your engine w/plastic or.......!?
It didn't come out perfect, but did look a lot better when it dried. It washed away a lot of the road dirt/dust that gets p/u along the way.

Cleaned mine last year, came out pretty good. Removed it from the car, soaked it in Simple Green and let it sit for a bit, then rinsed thoroughly with a garden hose (low pressure). Had to let it dry for 2-3 days before installing it again. Be careful when you soak it, the extra weight could tear it when you move it. Good luck.
