I have read the instructions, seems to point to a pin out chart that i dont have. No biggy i think GNTTYPE has a chart, but does anyone have some words of wisdom before this(me) electrical wizard goes to battle??:)

Seems as if it should be any easy go, and i think i will use scotchlocks for the short term, but I ASSume i do have to cut some wires (I run ME). The brown and white (white says cut end from C1-3) I ASSume the purple/white gets cut, and from the ECM
the two wires kinda get attached one to each end(so to speak) for control over the wastgate soln....

Am i close here? or suckin wind??? :)

TIA

I only recall cutting 1 wire, the wastegate solenoid one.

I used the connectors from the BstC and had a problem with being able to plug in the BstC wire so that it wasn't making electrical contact with the "tap" off the harness. I am thinking the BstC wire had a "shrouded" male connector and I plugged it in so that the connector was outside the insulation on the female "tap". It probably bent when I crimped it and I had to use a little screw driver or something to bend the connector back so it was centered in the "shroud".

I hope that that is more helpful than confusing!

Of course i didnt get any connectors, So there was some type of connector that you tapped in the puple/white wire. I ASSumed that one the wire was cut it would kinda be an in/out with the two wires(brown and white) brown from ECM. Then white to the solinoid. All bieng the in/out with the purple?white wire....??..

To simplify your install, just look at the wiring harness where it plugs into the ecm. The pin ports are labeled there, I believe, so that is your pin chart. The wires colors/stripes are also described on the instructions, so that is kind of a double check for the labeled pins.

Unplug the orange wire by the ecm to disconnect power to the ecm first. Cut the appropriate wires and used crimp connectors to reconnect, installing the BSTC wire into the instructed connection. My unit had quick disconnect elec fittings for a couple wires (it says in the instructions) so the unit could be unplugged and not used. There is also a switch on the unit that turns it off also.

You will really like this product. It uses TPS voltage read from the ecm to spool the turbo, anything over 0.3 mv or something. Mine spools like lightning. Good Luck

Thanks for the responces, but i dont have/know what the connecters look like:) I assume the purple/white wire is the one to cut and connect one end to the white wire(from ecm) then the other to the wastgate soln.?. right?

As you can tell any kind of wiring makes me:eek: . I just want to be sure that i cut the correct wire and rewire appropreatly (SP)

To clarify, you purchased the unit used, correct?

Email me an address, I'll send out
a sheet and connectors. No prob.

Above and beyond the call of duty TB. I only wish that the vender's i deal with (not Buick related, but automotive related) would take a lesson from most/all the Buick vendors i have dealt with.

Yes people, service is why people come back:)

Once you pull the ecm down to where you can see the pin outs, the instructions match the pin outs the come out of the top of the ecm. Its pretty simple if you get down there and look at them.
