It's hitting a rod/rod bolt. Can I just shorten it? Will the dipstick come in contact with the rod?

This is an 016 4.1 stage II, 3.625 6.350 rods.

Thanks!

I guess it could also be a splayed cap bolt? Just peeking through the dipstick hole.

Off the tube? Wouldn’t that send the stick deeper and get a wrong reading?

Mine was hitting on a 109 block with arp mains bolts installed.

I flipped the dip stick 180* and it didn’t hit anymore.

The tube has a stop on it so it doesn't matter if you cut the end off. Won't affect dipstick read.

Ok. Got it.

Mine was the stick itself and turning it 180° solved it.

This was on a 109 block.

The stick was hitting one of the main studs sticking out.

After trimming the tube, It may be worth bending the tip a bit to see if it helps, if it's still hitting. Mine had a small curve and it worked when I flipped it.

Yea I cut an inch off and it went right it. The dipstick also goes in pretty smooth. Thanks for the help.
