I guess i had bad luck with the 200r4
Never spent big money for the top of the line 200, but 3 to get rebuilt and fix broken parts ($600-1200). I have $450 inclding core in the TH-350 for performance rebuild and manual valve body and a $300 3600 dacco stall converter. So far it ihas been the best money spent :D

What was involved with the change over from a 2004R to a TH350?
Your car is an 86?

It was fairly simple. Changed crossmember and transmission mount from a donor 80's GrandPrix. Everythind else bolted up. You have to go to a manual valvebody because there is no vacum to shift when there is boost. Very satisfied with making the change.

Did you put a shift kit in it too? A friend of mine had a mechanic talk him into replacing his 200 with a 350 turbo in his 84 GN. He had the shift kit installed and that baby would bark second without heavy throttle. I'm hoping a performance valve body will give me that same feel.

Couple more quick questions....what happens to harness that plugs into the trans? Does the check engine light stay on? What about a speedo?

Who told you that one>??? -Mat-

The th-350 doesnt use the harness, just tie it up.

Yes I had a tcs-cheetah manual valvebody installed.

About the vacum, had to learn the hard way. :o
