Just opened up my new shop last week. Its a custom paint shop for autos, bikes, etc. I did my dually for rolling advertisment. I would love to hear what you guys think about it. Its pretty wild but remember its suppose to get me noticed. Here are some links since you can not put a bigger picture up here and it will not show up the detail as good. Thanks in advance guys Daniel Ray

I like it. Hope all goes well. Just remember the way you let cars leave your shop is a representation of your service. My painter gave me my car back with many problems and didnt bother to offer to fix them even after I pointed them out. He missed about $10k in profits due to me sending people to other painters this year after that. Treat them right, that all I ask.:)

Belive me , I know! Word of mouth is your best or worst advertisement in the world! If anything I am going to be so picky it may take me a little longer than usual but when they get it back it MUST be right to make use both happy or it won't leave the shop until it is. I just got a 79 Z28 dropped off today for me to start on and I plan on making it shine like a diamond when it leaves here. Thanks for the compliment! Daniel Ray

I wish you were closer! My GN could use a good coat!!! If you want PM me a price on a strip down and repaint on a rust free car. Needs a little past body worked fixed on the driver's door. Would need to be perfect! I need a vacation anyways! -Mat-

Very nice, good luck.

**Also, always thought some subtle true fire coming out of some GNX louvers would be sweet. :o

Thanks guys, I know its not for everyone lol. The truck is just to show off with and get attention for the shop. I hope to be able to do a lot of custom paint as I enjoy it a lot. A regular paint job is just as important to me right now as well ! I got to make some of my money back that I spent putting this together. Daniel Ray

Daniel, I wish you the best of luck. Your a great guy and this is well deserved. I'll be in touch, Kevin:biggrin:

Nice!! I love the flame job.

That is an eye catcher.
I would suggest putting your business name and phone# on the
sides of the truck also, maybe some white decals on the rear door
glass. That's two more chances of someone seeing your advertisment.

Good luck!!

Thats a great idea about the decals on the rear door glass! I have a guy here in town that makes up decals , may have to holler at him today and see what he will charge me to make up two of them in white. I put my logo on the drivers side rear door but I didn't make it to bright because it would take away from the paint job. The logo on the tail gate is a lot brighter for them to see it. Thanks for all the compliments guys. This has been a dream of mine for a long time and I when delphi closed here I said the heck with it, I'm going for it! I had done paint for a long time but it was just on the side. Mainly for myself and some close friends. Daniel Ray:D

Paint looks great. All that chrome takes your eyes off of the paint though. Paint match all that chrome except the wheels/billet inserts and pull them emblems off. Leave nothing to distract ones eyes from that beautiful paint job. :)

nice talking to you this morning. I will holler at you soon as I get thur with the z28 in the shop now. I started to paint the grill to match wendy but I was scared that the paint would turn loose over time on the chrome. Its so slick its hard to keep anything on it permentally unless you strip it. The 3500 emblems I just like lol. But on anyone elses you are absolutly right. It would look better off the truck. I just like them personaly. Thanks for all the compliments guys, it really means a lot to me. I have been using house of Kolor paint lately and it has a learning curve on it. Its just diffent to spray, not really harder or easier, just diffrent from sherwin williams or dupont. I am going to try some ppg sometime or another. I spoke with tntdiablo today about doing some work for him but I want to make sure I have this house of kolor paint down perfect first. Ok later guys Daniel Ray

I just had mine painted and have the same issues, the guy who was suppose to wet-sand it, did'nt do a good job parts left un-painted:mad: , sucks when you pay thousands and don't like what you see., btw awesome paint job, i love custom work.

Cool, may you prosper!

I have been toying with the flame "look" I want for my bug... fly on over here and have a working vacation! ;) Just kidding. No Im not. Am I?

For the curious:
Bestvater - Malaysia: Flames!

I like the true fire look but wondering how it would look ghosted. Good pics are hard to find.

Daniel the truck looks great
And I'll be looking for paint on the wifes vette by next year...still have to figure out what to do with it

a vette, well shoot man, thats easy. Just give it to me lol. Then you won't have that problem to worry about. I need something slower to drive around in but I think the buick would whip up on it at night time in the shop. Would have to seperate them hahahahaha. Ok, time out for you mister lol Holler at me before you get ready and I will try and tell you when I can get to it if you are interested. Daniel Ray

LOL, Wife tried to pick on the 86 on the way home...made her eat smoke.
Not sure if I'm going to keep the L48...turbo it, SC or swap out to a buick heart ;) I have it parked next to the 83 and it beats on it nightly (pretty sad that the 83 can beat it up) but it still better than driving a honda  .
once I get the power plant figured out, I'll get the paint figured out.
