Dropped my car off to Lonnie about 8:30 p.m. 5-24-07 on Thursday night I must add. Lonnie is a good fellow that is honest and definately know his stuff when it comes to our Buicks. Basically can relate to anything you can ask him about any part on the car and doesn't try to push parts on you that you don't really need. Would definately reccomend him at this point. Lonnie just did my engine and tune. I wanted high tens and got low tens. That's about all I'm 'gonna say.

Lonnie, I have no intention of "Vendor bashing" you at all. I've heard nothing but good things about you and your transmissions.
My comment was more of a "respectfull jab" at you, regarding a very good buddy of mine's transmission and it's ongoing problems... You know who I'm talking about, the long timeframe and the circumstances. I didn't want to pollute the thread with disrespectfull comments... I only wanted to get your attention and possibly help get Jimmy's car back on the road a little sooner.
Glad to hear it's shipping on Tuesday.

This isn't really a 'Tech' thread, but I'm going to leave it here where I can limit character bashing by vague here-say and innuendo.
If a 'friend' has something to say let him say it out in the open where it will mean more than innuendo. If it turns into Feedback, I'll move it there.
No offense meant, but I don't want a thread spiraling into the mud and serving only to make hard feelings when its not necessary.

, but honestly they are only a few good honest mechanics out there and based on meeting and talking to Lonnie he is the real deal. A hard working fellow that takes his work personal. Not to forget he does have a Gn record I do believe and makes several Gn parts of his own. I have confidence in Lonnie or I would of never pulled my car 3.5 hours to him.silentbutdeadly

This has been a PIA for me as well as Jim. I would not have driven 20 hrs round trip to Jims House to drive his car to see what Problem he was having to take this crap from someone that has had nothing to do with our deal. You pointed out negatives "on-going problems, time frame, circumstances, disrespectful comments" topped off with glad its shipping Tuesday as if you had something to do with it. I am sure you knew what you were doing. That’s why I would rather have hashed out the whole deal as there are many positives you chose to leave out. You forgot to add raced trans all year last year. Local guy installed wrong checkball in VB channel killing transmission, EA paid for all shipping of trans for problem not caused by him, Drove 20 hrs to try to correct another problem, Offered to buy unit back at full price after trans was raced for several months. How convenient of you to forget select items. Oh that’s right, you were not involved in the deal in anyway.
Your post and your comments were disrespectful and did not expedite anything. I spoke with Jim today and it seems the only one that has a problem with me is you. My obligation is to Jim. I do not know you and have never had any dealings with you and will never. I could not sit and let your underhanded bashing go unanswered. 2) Tranny wsa raced for about a season
3) Owner had someone else work on it, then
4) You drive 20 hours to have a look and see what the problem could be
5) you diagnosed the problem again
6) You get bashed here....
Don't know Lonnie, never met him. Don't have a dog in this fight. But I'm not going to stand by and have one of the good guys maligned without cause, by someome playing loosely with the facts.
