Item # 280231790041 on eBay. Sorry I can't paste the url, but I'm new so it won't let me. Just wondering what your thoughts are on this vehicle and what you think it's worth.

Thanks.

the few posted pics on Ebay are not enough to make any kind of decision. There is not much time left in this auction. In today's world a buyer really has to do their homework when buying a car - especially on Ebay. Always better to see in person rather than buy something site unseen.

If you do not know much about these cars and cannot do your own research, especially if the car is out of the area, the best thing you can do is pay for an independant appraisal - the best $100 or so you can spend. There are reputable appraisers all over the USA that are linked to various classic/collector car companies.

Kirban has a few books to build your knowledge base. Also this link to the gnt-type.org buyer's guide is useful.

A CARFAX report can give you some helpful info, but does not have all the information. I have a GN that does not exist in the CARFAX database.
DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND BUY SMART. A DEAL IS NOT A DEAL WHEN YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE BUYING.

It is a good looking car, with some mods already done. I would prefer to look at drive, etc a car before buying, that is why I ask where you are located. Is it somewhat close by?

Unfortunately it is not close by. I live in San Antonio and there just aren't any GN's for sale around here. This car is in Columbus, OH and I can't drive or fly to go see it before the auction ends. I've talked to the owner quite a bit about the car and it seems like a decent DD with really nice paint, interior, and a nice engine that's been rebuilt.

Open another thread asking if there is anyone in the area to check it out for you. There are alot of people on this board willing to help out others.
Good luck

Bryan

looks great from the photos, but I wouldnt bid on a car without looking at it in person first. BTW- it is really hard to trust a used car dealer who has a car for sale on ebay.

Pretty cheap and looks nice in the pics. I wouldn't buy a car like that in a hurry without looking at it or having it inspected first though. But that's me. :)
