These classes have been dominated by 109 blocks due to the rules stating that NO STAGE I or II or Aluminum engines allowed. There is language that states the block has to be a V6 that was available in production cars....yada yada yada. I have in my possession an unmachined production 109 block. There is LOTS of excess iron on this thing that would have to be machined away during the process of building it. Since it is a authentic 109 and it has enough iron on it I'm going to have it molten and recast in the design of a 153 block. There is a list of things that are against the rules when it comes to augmenting the 109 blocks such as no welding and sich. I haven't found anything anywhere that states that my plan breaks any rules. I'd have to either settle for a 153 with 2 bolt front and rear mains or have them machined as splayed 4 bolt caps due to not wanting the crossbolt heads showing on the front and rear mains. In other words I'm going to do what Jason White has done with his silver car. Down to having the 25526109 and 3.8 cast into the side of the block in the stock locations. Add to that a recasted set of productions irons (recast as 14 bolt heads with whopping ports and accepting larger valves) and I will be blowing away the field just like Jason does and I'll run a hydraulic roller cam to boot.

I'll have the whole process video'd to prove that it is a 109 block and 8445 heads.

Throw a cast iron skillet in and you could have a four bolt main. Who'd know the difference?

If it's only the numbers you wish to 'forge' as being cast, there are easier ways to do it!;)

Still time consuming but with practiced skill, you can weld them on, grind them to shape if you're practiced also with a burr, then blast, peen, blast until the appearance is correct. Technically you could put the correct numbers on a V-8 block and really screw em up if you were so inclined...:p:D

No guys I'm not trying to cheat. My engine really will be built with a 109 block.

Now that is outside of the box thinking:biggrin:

you can borrow my dremel tool if you need.......jus sayin:redface::biggrin:
