Went to our local track today to lay down some license runs. My good friend Bison and another non-Buick buddy were there for support. My first. Launch off the trailer tripped the 60' beams with the rear tires. Will try and get video link up.

My fifth run and first full pass. Shifted from 1 to 3rd missing 2nd completely. Only running 16 psi boost.

Going to have some really good in car video. A friend of mine had his go-pro cameras mounted all over.

Allan,

How is the spool up with the new turbo, looks pretty good to me?

How are you keeping the heads from lifting with 35psi boost?
The same way they are kept from lifting at 40psi. 6 fasteners around each hole. Better material in the block and shorter fasteners. Those passes were less than half of that boost

I was only hitting the boost at about 20-22 psi and pulling back to 14

Spool up is a lot better than my old Y2K. I haven't spent a lot of time looking at the data on that yet. I been trying to troubleshoot a potential transmission issue that I think is nothing more than overheating the converter.

Looking at some random runs, it looks like the Borg Warner Hybrid Journal is about 0.5 seconds faster than the single ball bearing Y2K. Both are 88mm with almost identical turbine dimensions but the Borg is a divided 1.10 housing vs Y2K open .96 A/R.
