Running a turbonetics 66bb, terry houston 3" pipe with internal gate, using stock solenoid and tt chip. i have the wg rod maxed in and only seeing 24 psi. will i be able to hit more by just running tuner style? wg hole is ported...
 
assuming the solenoid is running 100%, then the larger wastegate hole may be holding the boost down. (backpressure in the turbine pushes the gate open)

you can try adding an external spring to the wastegate to add more tension/pressure, and/or set it up tuner style with an MBC (like the RJC)

You should be able to run 136-137mph before you run that turbo out of air. At that point the wastegate will pretty much be held 100% closed. If your car isnt capable of running near that trap speed you arent maxed out yet. You may have incorrect geometry on your wastegate actuator arm also since those turbos were never setup to run diaphragm stock style wastegates. You could unthread the adjuster and shorten the threads on the actuator to be able to thread deeper. You can get it to the point where the actuator is held nearly 100% shut since the actuator arm will only have a tiny bit of travel when on the swing valve.

i was thinking about cutting maybe 4 threads and see what happens. is that a good start?

What power level are you at?
I didnt cut threads till i was at 650whp and i couldnt make any more boost on the dyno. My wastegate hole was 1.1" and i had a heavy spring actuator.
