My car has not be shifting right for a while, so i wanted to change my fluid first.. (trying to put off buying a new one, since this one has less than 100miles on it) but after removing the filter i notice silver metal shavings in the filter.....some was very fine pieces some was little bigger....is this normal to have a little in the filter or do i need a rebuild....just tired of buying transmissions...

At a 100 mi shouldn't have much in there. Fluid & filter might not be the cure.

I guess its time to buy another one... i hope my next one last longer....considering i did not race this one

Sounds like the convertor is coming apart...

You should have a local transmission guy look at the metal in the pan, if it is the convertor and you stopped driving it in time, you could probably get away with taking the unit apart and cleaning everything...including every valve in the valve body and pump. Parts wouldn't be too expensive, but labor would be if you don't do it yourself. Good luck, John.

Was the .......

TV cable set correctly, it can cause some severe ware on the clutches and result in other damage. Was the tranny purchased from one of our vendors or local? If local, ck to insure they gave you the brf coded one, I took mine to the dealer and they swapped some other AA or ? that lasted exactly one year and blew-up on the highway when hitting passing gear! That's when I discovered the switch!
