I agree with you in principal, but it's hard for me to feel sorry for these types who hide behind their computer monitor and screw people out of money, instead of working for it. Perhaps if they all had a serious hospital stay to face for screwing people, then maybe they would at least think twice. I don't feel an honest disagreement or dispute falls into the above category, I am talking about only those who intentionally screw people without a conscience. As I mentioned, I agree with you though. Just my .02 cents.

Certainly. In theory, they should all pay a hefty price......but in theory, all child molesters should be dragged out and shot in the face. I'm just saying that 'hiding behind (a) computer moniter' is lame....whether you're ripping people off or telling whoop-a$$ stories. I think that a marshall law solution to these problems is ineffective in the long run, we need to establish methods of LEGALLY battering these people unrecognizeable. I think that would be a better deterrent. It's sad that this stuff happens. I've yet to be screwed by a board member over parts, but I've never spent more than $100....just the same-- I'm nervous every time and wont do business with anyone who has few posts or isn't relatively well known by several board members. You would think that being blacklisted by the community would be enough to dissuade folks from fraud.

You really missed the point! You weren’t supposed to be impressed. And I never said I did anything other than pay him a visit. Point is the legal system lets scum like this continue to operate. The only reason the guy did time was because they had a way to link him to multiple robberies. The sad fact is this POS that screwed Cheeseburger has nothing to worry about regarding the legal system. What are the cops going to do??? It is to cost prohibitive to pursue taking the clown to court especially when the parties are from two separate countries. Even if he went through all the hassle, you cant get water from a stone… While I totally agree that this should be handled in a mature manor, unfortunately the system isn’t setup to protect people like Cheeseburger. Sometimes a friendly visit from a local board member can do wonders, it lets the POS know what a small world it is we live in when some stranger comes knocking at the door. Trust me, threatening to kick the POS off the board is NO deterrent!

BTW, the seller of the engine is SO full of chit regarding the ‘I bought it from someone else and that person screwed me’ story!!! It’s pretty clear this jackazz has no morals, credibility, or integrity!

I wanted to let you know that I spoke to Mike Klugman AKA: Blown sn 95 earlier today to see if I could help get to the bottom of this whole mess.

I originally called Mike (Blown sn 95) at work and got his voicemail. I left a polite message and asked for a return call. He called back approx. 1 hour later and we had a candid conversation in regard to what is going on with this whole engine snafu.

Originally Mike had come across this engine thru a friend and had posted questions in another thread http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=892313#post892313 because he really had no knowldege of Buick Stage I and II engines. He relayed any questions to the person originally selling the engine.

The other Mike AKA: Cheeseburger in Canada had agreed to buy the motor in question. At this point Mike Klugman (Blown sn 95) was acting as sort of the middleman with the pictures and info he sent to Cheeseburger coming from the original seller. I was told that the motor was purchased with the $$ that was sent by Cheeseburger and shipped to Mike (Blown sn 95) in CA.

By the time the motor made it to Mike (Blown sn 95) it was way behind schedule and he never picked it up from the freight depot he only re-addressed the box and sent the engine on to Mike (Cheesburger) in Canada.

Once the motor arrived all Hell broke loose and Cheeseburger has a $250 junkyard 4.1 liter instead of the Stage motor he was envisioning. Mike (Blown sn 95) has filed a fraud complaint with Pay Pal against the original seller and is waiting for the results of the investigation which can take between 7 and 30 days.

Mike (Blown sn 95) doesn't have the $$ and really only made $600 on the whole deal once the motor was shipped to him. He has agreed to pay Mike (Cheeseburger) whatever he can on the 5th of August when he gets paid and the outcome of Pay Pal investigation is pending.

Based on all the stuff I've bought and sold over the years I find the whole story quite plausable. Mike ( Blown sn 95) didn't seem to be deceptive in any way and I believe he is telling the truth. If nothing else I'm a good judge of character and I believe him.

Hopefully the original seller will forfeit the original purchase price thru Pay Pal once all is said and done and everyone will get their $$ back and world will be a happy place.

I am NOT going to get stuck waiting for his problem with someone else, he is responsible for his own actions........... i want all my money returned and if not i will pursue this to the full extent of the law!

I am sure he can borrow from bank/visa/friends/wife/work/family or whoever, i want my money back a.s.a.p!!!!

I have already made up my mind and a plan of action is already takin, it would be in Mike Klugmans best interest to refund me in full by the said date!

Look at it like this. If he had no desire to make right, he would have never called Neal back and even conversed with him about the situation. He may feel like crap and who wouldn't if his story is true. I know I would be embarrassed. Lets see what happens and see if he makes a good faith payment at least and pays you when he can. Pay pal is tough and timely to resolve, I know this first hand. So like Neal said or at least implied from what I gathered, is try to wait and see what this guy does. If he keeps his word, what more could you ask? There is a man. If not, well..... then things move to plan "B".

I do like the fact that our "community" does watch out for one another. Hard to find in todays world.....sad but true
