I just installed a new set of mt drag radials on stock 87 gn wheels and wow, these things are sticky...
i did have use one 3/16ths wheel spacer on the left side because it was rubbing a bit. My car had new stock springs in it but did not have to roll the lip. what PSI should i run, thanks brian

i run them around 28psi on the street

You have any other pics of your car? - I have never seen GN wheels painted all black and would like to see it from farther away...

I run my radials at 18 all the time...They seem to wear better that way and I have not noticed any ill effects to handling.

I would also like to see more pix of the all black wheels.

Also. Is it very common to have to roll the lip when putting 275/60/15s on stock gn wheels?

Looks real sweet!! Also if that is a lift in your garage at home  - that is almost as sweet as the car!

Need more info in what paint u used and a full write up on how u did it!! I'm gunna do it to mine Also how did u tape off that chrome outer spot to leave it chrome

black out wheels

after considering many wheel options i opted to stay with the original 87 wheel which we all know screams Grand National just wit more of a sinister look to me. I still love my AR torque thrusts , just changing the look for a few months. Better than leaving a 2nd set wheels to rot away and take up garage space.

they were easy to do. First i sent them to the powder coat guy to get then sand blasted. i opted for urethane paint with clear coat rather than powder coat because you can get a much higher gloss with urethane in my opinion. So off to the paint shop and wallah high gloss black stock gn wheels. i then wanted something different to make the wheel pop, so i added a reflective black 5/16ths vinyl stripe around the perimeter of the wheel so when on coming lights hit it lights up. i just used the stock lug nutstires and boat 8 7 001.jpg

thanks guys

thank you all for you for your complements and help i do appreciate it, brian.........

I'm curious about that lift you have in the garage. Who makes it and where can I see some specs? Thanks!

The wheels do look nice that way.

Put some D I A L 9 1 1 stickers on the rear quarters and a few antennas and you'd have people wondering. Police/Special Ops issue GN baby! Now don't go around impersonating.... :)
