nedd advice on repair or replace tranny

Bought an 87 gn withbigger turbo and 3200 stall covtr and 42 lb injectors I bought this car with a bad tranny. it slips going into 2nd and 3rd and rev.the guy suggested I buy a kit from ck performance seeing that this is his 2nd time blowing up this tranny the kit about 350 and the shop want 400 to put it in.my question is are these kits any good for a car making 500hp or my other option is extream automatic stage 2 which lonnie said its a little over kill but the stage 1 is to border line for the hp I'm putting out so its 800.00 or 2000 from extrean automatic need a little advice here

The Kits are good but, most local Shops aren't.

800 and go through 3 transmissons, or 2000 once...
