my girlfriends little brother was on their computer trying to enter in a cheat for some Sim's game. He couldn't figure it out and just started hitting keys. Next thing you know, the screen is sideways. The start menu, clock, etc is all on the right hand side of the screen. Basically everything rotated 90*.

Does this computer have a video card?? I know nVidia cards can rotate everything 90 or 180 or whatever. Right-click on the desktop and it'll say "properties" at the bottom. Click props and you should get display settings. The tab on the right is settings. Click there and it should tell you what vid card you have. Clicking on Advance should get you to several tabs. One is the vid card. Maybe GeForce or something like that. Clicking on THAT should get you several choices on the left side. One of them being NVRotate. From there, the screen can be put back right.

I hope this is the fix.

Question is.. how the HECK did he get in there??

I'll have to check that out Monday night when I'm down there again. Until then they'll have soar necks from trying to use the computer. :D

For the bar that has the clock on it, click and hold and just drag the entire bar down back to the bottom. everything will follow it.

Actually it wasn't just the tool bar. All the desktop items, as well as any other program you open was sideways.

Ctrl Alt and the up arrow fixed it. :)

Well darn,

That was pretty easy to fix. Glad you got it 'straight'.

Oh.. that was bad!
