i aquired a 400 with a brake from a friend and decided to freshen it (damn good thing too) Upon reassembly i found a ford plasticlg check ball that came from the valve body.I am not sure what brake this is but i believe the trans came from Dynamic. Aby one help with this? Ive never seen one with a checkball on the valve body side. But it definelty came from the valve body.
THanks

fiod tv ball?it should go on top of a spring in the vbody.and press against the plate

THanks Chris, THe strange thing was that i found where is was machined for the FIOD TV ball, But the spring was installed side ways in the valve body in such a manner that the ball could close the port with fluid against it but not fall into the valve body to far.
Do you know whose brake THis.
I was going to purchase yours but got this tranny complete on a deal. I must build a 2004r to go in its place. So i will be contacting you for a full roller billet setup w a convertor in the next month or so
Thanks again

they probably layed it sideways so it wouldnt get lost.remember the a4lds with the spring in the case to catch debris?i think its a hipster, does it have a stock manual valve thats grinded down savagely?

Yes it does, It ground down quite a bit.THe trans is all back together now, Just waiting for the fuel system components to complete teh install.
Hey if oyu get a chance put togehter some kinda quote and email to me. I will be buying everything i need to assemble a 2004r from you.(input shaft, roller parts, input drum, complete clutch and steels, shift kit servo. Everything. and a strong 4000 stall nl convertor. THis is going behind a stage 2,stage 2 headed street car with a 76 turbo.
