When it rains it pours as they say.

On the 84 HA; The 20A fuse for CIG-CLK started blowing suddenly, and keeps blowing. No electrical or other work has been done in at least 9 months.

Put a fuse in this morning with everything connected, turned key, radio on, cig lighter pushed in, all OK. Tried DS window, blew fuse. Added a new fuse ignition off, it blew. Keeps blowing with Ignition off and CIG Radio disconnected. Already used 8 fuses, but since it blows immediately, Key Off, I am out of ideas. :banghead:

So far I have disconnected:
-CIG lighter
-Radio
-Power window switches (to make sure)
-Lock switches (Locks suddenly no longer work)

Wit the "Key off", the moment you put a new fuse in, it blows. This literally "Blows".
Looking for some ideas of next step, besides gasoline and a match. . . . .

Unable to add pics on phone app unless you first "quote".

You can see the burn on the contacts from putting the fuse in, key off.

Dumb thought, but is there by any chance a penny or dime in the cig lighter socket? Ask me where I got that idea!

I would also try pulling the radio and unplugging it to see if it still blows.

Thanks man. No such thing as a dumb thought now. Wondering what else is on this circuit.

You disconnect the power plug from the back of the cig lighter and it still blows??

Yeah . . . . Found the problem though. Pinched orange wire to power lock switch in DS door. The window gear grabbed the wire and pulled it.

Thanks guys.

Thanks we4Mateo.
I was delighted, because I just love electrical problems. Lol
