I recently bought a set of cnc Champion irons from a board member(gnloyalty8777) and both heads were found to be cracked. The seller is suddenly MIA so I filed a dispute with Paypal and my credit card company so things are pending on the Champions, but I still need a set of heads! I was thinking of getting a new set of Champions but I wanted to see if anyone had any other recomendaations on ported heads. Thanks

Don't listen to Grump, he drives a Mazda. Marleyskater420 (good seller) on here has a set of iron Champions for sale. They have less than a tank of gas run on them. Hope GNloyal pulls through for ya.

Mazda "SHELL" only :D On another note I would also take them apart an check EVERYthing ;)

didn't learn anything from that past experience??:p

What's to learn? I bought a set of heads from a member that were damaged so I still need a set of heads for my motor so I am looking for recommendations on what vendor to buy them from? I have used Champions in past with good results but I wanted to see what else is out there.

I was at DLS yesterday. He had a set of heads that he said are worked a little more than John's. But Dan said he a a TON of hours in them. So not sure what the cost would be. lol But after seeing Dan's workmanship I would use his stuff in a heartbeat.

Thanks for the advice. Isn't your car the fastest iron headed car? That's a pretty good testimony for the DLS heads!

Yes, I believe it is. If I were in the market for heads I would definately call Dan.

Did you call Tom to see if he can just fix yours?
I did try to call Tom twice but each time they said he was unavailable and that he would call me back but he never did. The heads can be repaired but my preference is to get my money back from the seller and return the heads and go a different route. I filed the claim with my cc company but that is likley to take 60+ days to find out the outcome and I will need a set of heads before then. If I can get my money back that will be great-if not I will have the heads prefessionally repaired and pressure tested then I will try to sell them as repaired and pressure tested.

Gotcha! I know Tom is very busy right now. I hope you will get the money back from the original seller and not even have to worry about it. Good luck brotha!

Steve i am still contemplating selling my second set of heads.... i will finally send you some photos if you want... let me know
