MAXCOM forum member and I fought cold and snow to bring this stock jewel home today. We shoveled snow to get it out of the garage. 100% down to the tires. 12000 mile garage kept beauty. Congrats Tom!! Thanks for letting help shovel snow!

Exactly why I'm going back to stock. Man I miss those days. My car used to look just like that! Mine had 26k original miles way back in 1997.

Yep, stock....GN's look NICE...especially just before sunset with the parking light on. I bought two sets of stock GN wheels just so I can get my drag lites off the GN. The other set will be stored.

Whoa, man! Beautiful. :eek:Well worth it. Looks just like mine. I'd be GLAD to shovel out a mountain for a Grand National. She sure looks pretty. Just like it's 1987 again! Congratulations. All black Grand Nationals look great and menacing. I agree with Turbo 1GR, with the amber parkingl lights on near dusk, real serious sheetmetal here. Just like my brother once told me...nothing strikes fear in his heart than to look into the rearview mirror and seeing a black Grand National with the glaring parking lights on your ass! Reminds me of Dale Earnhardt sneaking up on me.

Well, hope you take real good care of it. Keep it stock looking. (GNBRETT, see, I listened to you...paragraphs!. Glad you set me straight there)

i agree with all the above comments. beautiful car. is it staying stock?

Tom was thinking of a few upgrades. We talked about on the way up. After seeing it we both had second thoughts. I could not believe how clean this can was. All electrical plus under the hood look like they had just been plugged in for the first time. No leaks, no grim! It was scarey stock! We do have an Alky Control kit and a Scanmaster but that's Tom's call. Where are you Tom? Needs a boost gauge too.

Yo Shane! Thanks again for all your help!

Still hard to believe how perfect this car is, it's like going back in time. Mods? That's a tough one, part of me thinks it would be a shame to alter anything.... but then again....... Maybe we should have a poll, "to mod or not to mod".

For now it will be baths, Sunday drives and the occasional car show.

You have a good point...a poll, "to mod or not to mod." GNs like you found are getting pretty rare in the shape you describe it. Like a diamond in the rough. Almost everyone now has modifications on thier GNs and TBs. Hardly ever see an unmodified beauty like yours. Let's have that poll...I'll be the first vote....."No Way, Hose' Mod!!!!!!

Moving this to the lounge..
Glad you finally found your car! I'm sure you'll be happy.

I know what you're going through. I have a 50k mile all stock WE4. Damn car had the original plugs in it. It's the most original car I've had. I'm contemplating a few mods, but it's only original once. I think I'm just going to hold off until I get sick of how slow it is!

put me down for modding it. if i could afford an umolested car completely stock for sure i would modify it with the intention of keeping it look all original even to the trained eye. ie: chip, fuel pump, and the like. but has to look original. no a pod gauges, scanmasters. nothing:cool:

Upgrade the fuel stuff, chip and gauges. That keeps it safe and mostly stock.
