I flew to St.Louis Monday and drove mine home. Getting the twin turbo kit, L92 heads L76 intake, and a Revolution LSX tubo cam. I will have DLS do me a stock block with K1 crank and rods + diamond pistons when we find the limit of the stock stuff. The turbo kit with 60 Lb injectors, our fuel system and pump gas has made 600RWHP and 625 FT/LBS on the stock motor. Bone stock my SRT-8 wil eat this car for lunch but after the turbos......

Dave your personal plate for the car is available

Should be fun to go cruising together

Mike

Mike,

Thanks for the info on the final Goats! I can't wait for turbos to arrive, you paved the way for GN High Performance now it's the LSX.

I will leave the TOP GOAT for you, just want to lay low with this car.

Nice car Dave! I bet Ted's car will be faster though, it's a buick:biggrin:;)

Thanks Shane!

It's going to tough to hang with Ted, Dan has put together a nasty power plant.

How is Spooky? You got a nice one there!

I'm not trying to be nosey here, but would you guys mind telling how much of a discount you got off the sticker on these two Goats? I'm looking at a leftover 06' here locally for a friend, and the dealer doesn't want to move much off the sticker-which i'm having trouble believing, since it been on their lot for so long. Thanks, Joe :)

27,500 it you don't go with the 0% 60 months 29,500 if you do.

Dave,

I would like a full report of pictures and videos as you take the turbos from Mike out of the box and set them on the table.

It will be almost like I am there helping in some small way.

John,

It would be my pleasure shooting some pics of the progress and sending them your way.

Dave / Billy, I have a meeting set up with John over at Big Stuff. We will be discussing the interface harness that I am going to build so that all the stock stuff, A/C, Dashboard, ABS etc. will function like stock. Should be the best of both worlds, all stock functionality with the performance and reliability of the BS3. We will have a step by step web site of the build ups and we are also looking to set up a vendor booth at the LSX shootout in Memphis since there has been so much interest so far.

That sounds great Mike, Dave will be bringing back the "race" harness I have (almost:biggrin: ) built from the Cecil event so you can take that to John as well for review.

Thanks Bill, I think with a Rossler and a Chance converter we can get it close to clutch performance.

Did you get the check for the Big Stuff 3 and can you deliver it to Cecil?

Sorry I didnt get back to you sooner, got the check and I will definately have it all at Cecil for you. Jeff is putting in overtime to finish this harness up!

If we can get this shipping worked out, I'm In! eBay Motors: Pontiac : GTO (item 220152373128 end time Oct-11-07 13:00:46 PDT)

>>> Dave,

I HAVE to know.......did you go with the rustproofing and extended factory warranty???

Everyone knows the factory warrantee is a rip off. Besides, with a DLS engine, Full Throttle BS3 and an Anderson wiring harness, who needs a warrantee?

Art.

Thanks Shane!

Spooky is awesome. Mike gave me EVERYTHING we need to get it running. Just got to get the motor from Bill! A 109 with stage II heads should be interesting!

Nice looking car. I can't wait to see what kinda of power a DLS LSX motor makes!!!!

Aren't new toys so much fun:biggrin:

I wouldn't hesitate too long. Some of the dealers that still have new 06 GTOs on the lot are starting to mark them up over sticker. There are no new ones being made and the last 200 were unloaded of the boat a couple of months ago. As far as I know there are only about 50 GTOs still on the lots nationwide. The used market prices have stopped dropping too much also.

I just picked mine up a couple of weeks ago. I'm looking at STS systems. I'm not looking for a 600 hp monster. Mid to low 500 RWHP will be fine with me. With a Turbo 4 banger (95 Eagle talon), a Turbo 6 (GN), I think its only fitting to have a Turbo V8.

Love the blue! The STS is not bad but the build quality leaves much to be desiried. I can make you a killer deal on the smaller gentt system and you can have electric boost response and much better performance
Mike

Dave,

Would you happen to have a pic of the key fob or video of you using the key fob to get in and out of the car by chance???

Thanks

Thanks Mike, I'll keep that in mind. I like the blue also! I haven't seen an orange GTO in person yet, but the pictures of them look awesome!

I'm doing my homework now. What's your impression of the APS TT system? I'm not really looking to spend $5-7k minimum on a new system. I've seen fully loaded STS systems used for around $3-4k (67 turbo, frount mount, injectors, meth kit, digital boost controller, etc). I know they have some faults, but this is the newest car I've ever had, and the dealerships down here are sticklers when it comes to warrenties. At least if I get the STS sytem and have a problem, I can have it off in an hour or two and have it back on it a few hours. I'm not trying to beat the system, if I were to blow the motor because of boost I'd suck it up and pay, but if I were to have say a cam failure that had nothing to do with the system, I don't want to deal with that hassle. The TT systems seem to have lot of cutting and splicing. I can install an STS system. Most places are wanting $2k+ to install the TT systems, so you're looking at $10k out the door minimum.

My experience with the STS has been poor at best. The APS stuff is nice but the gen TT system is easier to install, makes more torque, and does not have the oil drain pumps that cause so many problems. That is why we chose the Gen TT

I have a video of Dave running around the dealership grabbing up all the literature of the GTO he could.
