man, the real stock location intercoolers came out years ago. The pte stock location. Hands down the best one made. So is it safe to say gbodyparts, hyetech, and gn1performance stole their intercooler design? I could care less. They all look the same, and as far as I'm concerned, they all came from the same place ! I know gbody parts is not making those intercoolers here in the u.s.a, and probably alot of his stuff is made in china. Face the facts guys, your not buying american products! materials and labor is too expensive here. If it was made in mexico would it be any better? probably not! but you all buy stuff made in mexico and dont complain about it. hell, even american cars are made over seas? does that stop you from buying american cars? hell no. All of you need to pull your heads out of your a$$es and smell the coffee. All the parts on your cars including those cat cranks, rods and what ever else, are not made in the USA! have a great evening.

And sadly, its going to get worse before it gets better.. if it ever gets better.

All these knock off artists are in this to make a buck off of the Buick guys and when the market is bled dry, they'll move on to another one.

Anyone can make a buck short term. Let's just see if they are around 2 years from now. We can all make our own choices in what we purchase. Just keep this in mind. If you are going to jump on the cheap band wagon with a fly by night fabricator just be prepared for some sad results. If you stick with the guys who have been around and gone through the rough times you are going to pay more initially however the parts will fit and stay together and the vendors will most likely stand behind their products.

It is my experience that the people who are looking for the cheap stuff will be the ones crying the loudest when they feel they got burned.

Spend a few hours at least reworking the product to give it a unique look, there is only so much you can do to an intercooler or headers anyway. What we're seeing would be blatent patent and copyright infringement had it been pursued. But it is unethical to me whether illegal or not. And keep in mind you're defending an individual with the sole intent of coming in here under a false identity and grabbing Brians share of the market with a cheaper version of his own damn product. I mean seriously, that isn't ethical at all.

Now, had he came in and said he had a cheap knock off of G-bodyparts.com stock location intercooler, at least that would have been honest. This is a multiangled argument everytime except for the SAMBALLS1 thread a while back. I appreciate affordable products, I have learned to tolerate everything being made in China, my problem is usually the skeezy feeling these kind of threads have. I think there is a lot of room to meet in the middle with this situation and no one is doing it. Someone should pay TurboFabricator to do some custom work and then mass produce that, or something to that effect. False names and intentions, exact copies, undermining, etc...it's all in poor taste.

you totally misinterpreted my post. I am NOT here to defend any such person, Nor am I taking sides. I too am tired of all the b.s that goes on with these posts, when I am pretty sure these parts are ALL coming from the same place in china!! I seriously doubt gbodyparts is having his parts made in the u.s.a. The only vendor that probably does most of their own fab. work and r n d is rjc. And they too have been left behind it seems since their prices stay the same, and all the vendors are selling similar parts for cheaper since they are made in china. look what happened with the engine girdle! those showed up on a vendors site first!! Your right, they should have purchsed a patent on their custom made parts, but they did NOT. put those i.c.'s side by side, I bet you they are the same intercoolers, from the same manufacturer.

You guys are gonna go crazy with this China bs. I tried looking for toys for my 6 month old son that was not made in China and from Target, to Macy's to Babys R Us everything was made in China. But I finally found one that the box said. "Assemblied in US with foreign and domestic parts" Get home and open it up. Everything had a sticker that said Made in China. As you sit there reading this or typing pick up your mouse, keyboard what ever you have around and flip it upside down. Where is it made? I bet you 9 out of 10 things are made in China!

i'm going to ask my parents if I was made in china too;)

but I dont think they have red necks over there:D

The one nice thing about CAS was the Modine cores from Wis and engineered and assembled here in IL. Not sure about the PTE etc but there was a FMIC and SMIC that kicked a$$ here in the USA, too bad things got a little out of hand over there personale wise.

And sometimes welds let loose on some higher end stuff too, it's not that cut and dry as BA Performance could be lynched but they have proven to produce great FMIC's. How they handle these issues is the key IMO.

Lets see if this post stays!!!

Well to begin with, the stock location intercooler I am selling can in no way shape or form be an “upside down core” or side ways up or up you’re a$$ like Brian says, besidies, i never said that it was my personal new model, all i said was it was a new model for sale, no copy right issues there bud, the reason being that it is the exact same stock location intercooler that gbodyparts sells (check his pics on his site and then check mine) minus the false tag in which states some serious BULL SHYT about being made in the u.s. (you wanna talk about some bull? that’s it right there! And it’s a fact!) don’t you think that would fall under misleading your customers? Anyone wanna ask for a refund????? The reason I am selling this intercooler is because your very own supplier in which you owe an extremely large amount of money ($26k plus to be exact) to came to me and asked me to liquidate that product, all because you have been avoiding him the past few months in regards to your debt! Aren’t your tired of dickin your customers around?!?!? Takin credit cards with no product in stock?!?! Great business ethics! Buyer Beware!!!!!!! Hey Sam, watch your back he will screw you!

As for the intercooler Which had an issue there are hundred of those intercooler on the road right now which many of those customers are members of this board with no problems at all (many of which are running 500+ hp with out even a flinch). That was a first generation intercooler and it wasn’t a “big boy” intercooler for your info, do you really think that thing blew up at 18 psi? I have had well over 25 psi in it with no issues. So think about it.

Hey I know this is kinda off subject, but have you guys checked out the new banner on this site???? Ebay! Really?????? Everyone was crying about me being an “eBay supporter” rather than TurboBuick supporter, what’s that all about???? Haven’t you seen my products pop up on your eBay banner?!?!? Im supporting! See! Hahaha.

I have to say, the more you cry about my products the more I have been selling, so keep up the good work Brian!!!!

P.S. Turbolou…. Is business soo horrible for you, that you find the need to bring my name into your bull shyt too? You should just leave me out of you financial affairs, and get another bottle of prozact!

Well, at least you're being direct now, and that's a start, lol. I said what I thought, sounds like we're now in territory I am not familiar with and is really none of my business, but like I said earlier, I think there is a lot of middle ground with the current import crunch.

Anyone can make a buck short term. Let's just see if they are around 2 years from now.

The point youre missing is that this China knockoff stuff might not stay around more than a few years but its going to stifle any legit vendor from coming out with a new product because theyre going to know the stuff will end up on the China market inside of 6 months.

Shane and I have several projects that we've got a couple of years invested in that at this point, I dont know if I even want to bother with producing because I know inside of a week, one of them is going to be on the way to China to be knocked off by these new "Buick vendors".

I've seen this intercooler in person and everything is nice about it good quality intercooler!

*plus I guess its ok to talk about ur own supplier when u owe him $26k...... ;)

Since you posted the pictures, I guess you have.

BamBamBigelow seems to have multiple personalities using marred4life (http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/members/marred4life.html) and BamBamBigelow (http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/members/bambambigelow.html) sharing the same computer. No soup for you! and you! and you!

i guess the trick here is to stick with what ya know. If a vendor sells a good product, a battle proven product, then i would say its a good product. Stick with a vendor that you and others have had good experiences with, you cant go wrong. If a vendor has been around for a while, maintains a good reputation with service and product - takes the time to r&d products for a car that is hard to get parts for....then that is a good vendor in my book.

I will stick with the vendors, and behind them, which I have done business with for the past few years. I stick with the ones that stick by me.

As for this thread, i have little patients for "new" products that are the same as the old ones for the sake of buck. I will buy an intercooler from GBody even if it's more expensive. I know i will be taken care of regardless.

sorry.

No body is or was crying about you NOT being a vendor. You sent emails asking to be one. I checked you out and didn't feel it was a wise move to allow you to advertise here. After the ebay thing on my feedback and some of the other stories I have heard from other vendors I made a decision. It was my decision.... Everyone thinks it is all about the money. I could have taken the money put it up and not cared.

Then you have the nerve to come on here under a couple different personalities boosting your products got publicly busted. Now you are back again attacking two of our vendors. One didn't even post in this thread. Seems to me everything associated with your presence on this board has been shady or very disruptive in one way or another.

I don't have to take up for Brian, as I know will be the first words yelled, he can take care of himself:wink:

We don't want anymore drama on here, take it elsewhere please! You advertise on other sites, just promote your product there. This is just business!!!!!

ABSOLUTELY!!!
I'll never for the life of me figure out the rush to buy all this chinese crap in the first place just to save a bunch of coin. If it's just because of a budget thing, or you can't afford good quality stuff, then take a lesson from me. (If I can't afford name brand and high quality, I just do without until I get the coin together, it's that simple. Come on folks, get a life, don't flush our economy down the crapper for your own selfish reasoning). Especially in light of the fact they've declared open warfare on our economy!
The reason I'll never knowingly buy or support any product that comes out of china.
I could go no forever on this but won't belabor the point. You people that enjoy supporting that crap, good for you. I sincerely hope you get what's coming down the line.
God forbid your favorite dog or cat dies because of the poisons placed in their food.
God forbid you, your spouse or child gets sick or dies from the poisons that they've been placing in the beef they've sent us.
Or the lead in the toys.
Hopefully the substandard crap that everybody feels the need to buy wont come back to haunt them in some way, later down the road.

I'll also support the known great vendors that continue to "invent" to keep our beloved vehicles going. Even though some of them are selling some chinese stuff, I'll support their inovative new products that they choose to have designed, proven (you wont get this with chinese junk), built here.

What I wont support are those that are choosing to support china by buying/selling strictly those products. We all know who those are.

Last point, I hear it in this thread and many others. "Well I've seen product xxxx and it looks like good high quality craftsmanship". You're laying eyeballs on something proves NOTHING! You can't see the quality of materials, hidden workmanship, etc. Your eyeballs tell you nothing of the nature of materials used.
That's why I pressed so hard for someone to post pictures looking up inside the chinese made passenger side headers. The incredibly crude holes made for the #5 cylinder to dump into the main log should speak volumes!! Even after they were "suposidly" fixed, it still looked like crap, and much smaller than the tube welded around it. Unbelievable.

Sorry, down off my soapbox now.

If you have any questions regarding my identity, you can call me at 562-353-0315, I will be @ work until 2.30am please call in the afternoon.
Thanks!

I know who you are Hboost, BamBamBigelow or who ever you are today:cool:

I might need to get a cup of JOE since it is cold;)

What a dumb ass

Is the G-body parts intercooler really made in china or was that made up?

Ok if Archie got this IC from my supplier why is it different? Bad copy but I have a few pics of a unit we are sending out for Mark Hueffman today.

Notice the rounded edges? Notice the different hoses etc...
The cover he produced will not seat the cover flush. Ours is fully adjustable.
His top is squared off. Archie call MArk maybe you can put GN-1 performance on it with the same little # plaque.
Sod carries my Stock location Intercooler. The original 23 row bar & plate.

Notice our Dump pipe? I Archie was selling them on e-bay but guys were getting caps with only 2 bolts.

Pics are worth a Thousand words so have at it. Make sure when you cut & paste this thread to include these pics.

AS far as copying. PTE unit is a knock off of a Mease unit plain & simple.
Don't believe it look it up & see what came first.
We did not copy PTE.

Being direct & then stated he lied? Give me a break!
Ask vendors on this board about us paying bills.
I'm able to stay in business with almost every vendor on this board & off & that is not by not paying my bills.
Ask how many small vendors how many free products we send with out payment until they sell.
