Looks like a completely different car. I love it! But aren't your worried that your Ho's won't know what car to bring the money to? hahahaha :D

So tell us about the offset / backspacing! How close to the frame do the rears come? What size tires did you end up going with?

With this much Buick Porn in this forum today, I need a cold shower... mmmmmm....

German,looks very nice!

Ron,it's going in the car that had the ice on it! Maybe in 2 weeks. I need to finish the engine and build the trans this weekend.:) Blue printed and assembled the oil pump front cover tonite. Gotta work tommorrow.

As far as the offset goes, on the box it said 0" offset, BS is 4.5", but I have a spacer that was being used for the other wheels. The tires on the rear are 275/60/15 and 225/60/15 up front. I have about an inch from the inside wall. The only adjustment I have to do is the muffler pipe on the passenger side need a little adjust due to being too close to the tire. It did rub yesterday  but no major damage to the tire. I was able to push the pipe with my foot, just enough to get one inch clearance so I could drive it home.

But here is the funny and not so funny part. I came to the hospital after putting the new meats, just to pick up some things from office and then go home. Well, as I was parking the car my front driver side tire blew up!  Put my spare and took it back to the shop and got a new one. I believe the installer did it, because as I was watching the guy, he cut a piece that seem to be excess, anyhow got a new one and we are good to go.

Can anyone tell how hard is to do the "arm adjuster"? The guy at the shop showed it to me and it was loose and told me that is dangerous to drive. Anyhow, it seems pretty straight forward and I'll be working on it this weekend. Let's see how it goes...:)

G-man

What is an arm adjuster? Front end peice? Idler arm...if so easy. Upper control arm bushing?=PITA.

That's what the guy at the shop told me. I did some research and NAPA carries the part the I need (Tie Rod Adjusting Sleeve). If I'm replacing that, should I go all out? The guy told me to go with some brand (can't remember) goose, goone something like that... I'm all confused:confused:

Found a really useful website for calculating differences between different tire sizes. (Speedo, Odometer, rear end ratio, etc). The only thing I don't like is that it's a dodge website..

DML Tire and Wheel Calculator

For instance, a 26" rear retains the stock 3.42 ratio. a 28" tire moves you to a 3.16. I knew it gave you a higher ratio, just never new how much it moved it!

I guess I'm screwed!!

Nah. It still feels good from the driver's seat, doesn't it? And it looks really nice... I wouldn't sweat it. But it's good info to know when you start adding more power.

I think you nailed that muscular look you were going for. I like it!

Hello all, been layed up threw my damn back out again...German Nice Meats just don't hit to many deep potholes with them......Nice Choice......need some T3 this pain sux's......so everyones wrenching this weekend good stuff......did we get our own area yet in Regional have'nt checked it lately......

Not yet. The forum name is still up in the air. Soon, I hope...

What'd you do to your back? That is a sure way to ruin a week. When my leg acts up (like today at physical therapy), I take Alieve Liquid Gels. Not quite the same at T3, but it helps more than the other stuff over the counter.

So I see NE Dragway is doing a Test and Tune on the 16th. Anybody up for a trip down there? That's my last weekend of freedom before I have to check back onto the ship..... booo... I don't know how strict they are on roll cages and that sort of thing, so I may only get one or two runs in... but oh well...

Dodgeball did it this time, cronic issue been going on for almost 4yrs now....off and on.....Where is NE Dragway? I think I may have duty on the 16th though....

from: Virginia Beach, VA 23452 to: 1099 Lake Rd, Hertford, NC 27944 - Google Maps

About 60 miles or so south of here in Hertford, NC. Not a bad trip. Hopefully the weather will be decent. We're getting spoiled with this 60 and 70 degree stuff....

I took a dive in dodgeball about 3 years ago and landed on my elboes. Still get a sharp pain in my left one if I lean on it certain ways. Of course, medical says there's nothing you can do for it. I hate shipboard medical.

Thanks. Defintely a big difference!! It's like having a total different car. This weekend I'll be working on the front suspension. I have to replace the tie rod adjusting sleeve. So the car will be sitting for the remaing of the week. One thing I learned is how the tire width can make a difference on height. But I still like the look very much!! It's definetly old school!;)

Randy, hope you get well soon! :)

Ron, where you at the hospital this morning? You should have told me, I was all over the place today... Mainly in legal... trying to get the FC2 discharge from the Navy already. He dragging it a little too much!! You all know how it goes.

I ride with you if you need a navigator! What time does it start?

Gates open at 1100. I want to get at least a couple good runs in to see how this new setup does. I'm just worried that they're going to say something about not having a roll cage...
