Please see sig. for current mods. Stock unopened longblock with 53,000 miles.
Here are my goals:
1. Maintain daily drivability
2. Upgrade to 50lb injectors
3. Keep stock intercooler (for now), may consider an upgraded stock location in the future
4. Keep stock downpipe for now
5. Only run 93 octane and alky
6. I am willing to get a higher stall lockup converter
7. Keep the price of mods down
My car runs very strong with the stock turbo, and I am afraid that I won’t see much change going to a TA49, TE44, or GT3255.
Would going to a larger turbo, such as a 61, and running it at the boost levels afforded by the alky (20-22) be worth the extra lag? This being a street car, I am primarily concerned with the 5-90 mph acceleration.
Please give me your opinions on the turbos that I have listed or any others that you may recommend.
