That makes him one of the first in Southern California with a single turbo 109 block to get into the 9's. :biggrin:

Very nice track

3 runs, all at 139+ mph

10.01, 9.99, and finally a 9.87

At that point Mike did the smart thing and put the car on the trailer before something broke, and called it a night

A well deserved congrats again Mike, now give me my bald ass slicks back so I can say atleast part of my car has made it into the NINES.......

OH Reggie West went 6.37@112 thursday , at irwindale and at 16lbs boost, I saw the computer log, it was 16lbs !
later ran the same et and speed with more boost , but spun thru 1st and
2nd,
just check the conversion chart, that equates to a 9.80 wow!
way to go Reggie!

First i want to thank Billy Anderson for building one DAMN strong engine. at no time did i think i would be in the 9's.. Anyway, i want to also thank EVERYONE out here in Socal for helping me out when problems came up and i needed help..RAY, KEVIN, MARK, JEFF thanks for coming up and cheering me on last night.

right off the trailer the car went 9.99 with a 1.67 60ft.

on the second run she went 9.87 with a 1.58 60ft with the same tune and boost as the frist run 30psi at 25.5* timing.. On this run a lost a vacuum line after shifting into 3rd.. the fast system corrected but the car fell on it's face.. i think it should have went 9.80's or faster..

we fixed that line and went back out.. and what happen again.. another line (pcv line) blow off when i went into 3rd.. car ran 10.01 at 139..

i didn't want to push it anymore due to this vacuum lines blowing off..i lived to run another day ..

you know, the brakes are working great now.. with the alum drums and new pads she stopped good.. but a chute would be nice.. i think i can get 4 more MPH out of here with a little tuning.. i'm going to look into a chute for sure..

i tell you.. the track staff didn't say a single word about both my 9 sec runs.. they didn't even look into my car when i picked up my time slip.. reminds me of my home track.

Keep me up to date, i'm game for some more 9 sec runs
