Nice limited, but is it a bit overpriced?

Cars are only worth what people will pay for them; with that said it is a Beautiful car and looks to be in great condtition.. I hope he gets his price. Dont forget Limiteds are rare and then throw in some "different" options [like cornering lights, etc] and they become even more "limited";) When new in '87 they had expensive price tags too.

I would say its overpriced. In a perfect world no, because thats most likely what its really worth. But in the buyers market today, I think it'll have a tough time selling. Plus I'd rather by a 9 sec. S2 car for about 10k more:cool:

Best guess would be that 18,500 is the upper end of market value. Beautiful and rare car in great condition, but I don't think the Limiteds have caught up to the GN price-wise yet. I have to agree with Victory in that it is a buyer's market right now and prices will continue to be soft for a while longer.

IMO (which doesn't mean much) the car may be worth the opening bid price of $18,500. But it's not worth the Buy It Now price of $25k.Just a tad too many miles.I love the car,I like the color, it's a beautiful car but it would drive me nuts looking at that goofy speedometer in kilometers.

The fact that it hasn't received any bids might be an indication of what other peeps feel about it's minimum starting bid also. With the tires already being replaced and the paint already dull on the top surfaces tells me that it has been parked and neglected at some point in it's life, or was at some time an outdoors car, such as one parked & covered in a carport, where they still get some exposure from the elements. My car has 23K & change on it and it would be still running the original tires & rims if I had not switched over to GTA 16" rims & tires. At $18K & no shipping or any other incidental costs, it's probably a pretty good deal even on today's market, but not past that. The car market is definitely not going to be very good for a while. Just my $.02 worth.

That seller has either:
A. Been on the bong, too long.
B. Has watched far too many "Bareass Jackson" reruns....

Mines not a limited but, you wouldn't buy mine for less. I couldn't care less what the market is doing. That is why it will be in my garage for a long time. There are worse things. Realistically, everything is devalued right now. Some people need the money for various reasons and are willing to sell for less. Great for the buyers.

In my oppinion, if I were shopping for a mint / excellent condition '87 Limited and could afford it, I would pay that price.
I know the pictures probably don't do that car justice, but just from looking at them carefully, that car looks to be near mint. It also has the rare cloth limited interior, cornering lamps and landua roof. (sp) It's also a Canada car.

If there was one Limited that I wish I could have picked up, it would have been UNDER-PRESSURE 's Grey '87 Limited. Man I loved that car.
Just my O2's worth.

The car is very much missed. I hope it's doing well these days?

Hey, where I can get one of those license plates? The black with the eagle spreading it's wings?

The ebay car is identical to my sisters except she had leather interior.

She bought it brand new and her doctor husband had a new '86 vette with a 4+1 stick and aluminum heads and she always outran him.

She was a nurse and did home care and racked up 160k on it. I had to change the turbo..twice.

She sold it in the late 90's for $7k. :frown:

Thats is why the old saying "There is an ass for every seat" exists.

This is the second time this car has been posted on ebay and mentioned here. I think it was about 6 months ago (or so). The price was the same too.

geeze you can have my limited for 10k.
granted the body has 120k & the rebuilt engine 10k.
