Geez...3.5 years just to cut the wind...
I'd blow a gasket...burn a bearing...or blow my bottom end out...
I can cut the wind at will...and I like it that way...I take pride in it...I couldn't imagine having to wait 3.5 years to give it a rip.
Friggin' Japanese are tight in the rear main seal....

Ya....I had a Beavis and Butthead moment when I first read the JUST TO CUT THE WIND line...so I had to contribute my thoughts on the matter.

19TTA89.......it would be safe to say that you cannot afford a GTR....and that your head is stuck up your ass when it comes to anything short of a TTA......I am not selling my GTR....I am only comparing....all TR'S are the cars I consider the ultimate collector car...nothing in that time period was worth owning.....I think of myself as a car enthusiast not a TR or Chevy guy...a lot of people ask me my opinion on buying a car and I point to the best of the best...the GTR is the best in its class......I like all cars and give a ton of respect to the engineering to a lot of the cars built today...I love the CTS-V 2009... I think the 65's AMG'S are the perfect Luxury/Supercar....and have more power then any other car on the road....The GTR was built to beat and be direct competition to the 997 Turbo P cars and to the ZO6....it turns out the GTR is a better performer then a F430 and Gallardo as well.....I love the ZO6...and ZR1.....have driven both and owned a few Z06's ...most guys who own a GTR have had a Lambo or Z06 ...The reason for the GTR PURCHASE is that the car is unique and has a great appeal as well as comfort... I choose to own something a lot less common....and for overall performance the GTR is unbeatable....vettes are everywhere as well as 997's.....
A member mentioned that he would rather buy a 996 Turbo car over a GTR...have you really owned one of those cars? They are crap...If I was to buy another one it would be a 2005 Turbo S..but then again I will not buy another one... this car would cost around $50k...it is used so a loan would have more interest and in the end you would be stuck with a no warranty **** box where the payments would be the same as a 2009 GTR....why? Ignorant comment .......
For those who knock the GTR it is just ignorance plain and simple....I have seen guys on here knock the AMG's as well...again it must be an affordable issue or just plain stupidity knowing anything more about cars then a 24 year old Box Buick....
No..... there are less then 100 Limited Turbos left....I will stick to my guns on this one..it still hasnt been proven yet....I bet money on it and nobody has come up with another number
OH AND as far as any TR beating one...yeah at the track yes it is possible ......but on the street no way....a modified GTR with $2500 into runs 132 mph at the track and a mid 10 sec. 1/4 time.....not to mention the car shifts faster then any auto built in the world....so a modified GTR would hit 70 mph in under 2 seconds....with PERFECT TRACTION.....the car is a 4 wheel drive car under full throttle and a 2 wheel drive car for short sprints....

Personally I just quit buying foreign because my personal feeling is that if we go back to the country we were in the day (Post WWII pre vietnam) when we were exporting more then we were importing these economic woes would take care of themselves. I'm the VP of an original parts manufacturing timepiece company (Bozeman Watch Co.) so that's what we are trying to do as well. Bring manufacturing back to the USA. But it starts with us. That being said I've had a ton of foreign vehicles (wife still drives a VW Touareg V10 twin turbo) My uncle is also the retired President of Lexus and Toyota (Dave Illingworth) so trust me I get it. I mean if you ask on a Buick forum for opinions on a Nissan what do you really expect???? I respect what the car can do just not my cup o tea. On a side note. Glad to hear their are only 100 Limiteds left! That means mine with leather has to be one of hmmm 15?

What mods are you referring to? $2,500 would likely buy an exhaust system for that car and that's about it. Mid 10's for $2500? I find that one a little hard to believe but I do not own one so obviously I cannot say for sure.
Modifying that car to make it that fast would surely void the warranty imo. And at $20,000 for a new transmission
I would think making it fast enough to run 10's would mean you have money to burn. Maybe you do? But, it's ability to shift as fast as you say comes with a price if you want to run 10's with it.I agree tho, most who hate on it just cannot afford it and would surely want one if it was in their price range for a daily driver.
And yes it shifts fast and has a very unique transmission but it's not the fastest shifting transmission in the world. The Bugatti Veyron's is.

Haha, love the end of the video. Support for the ZR1 and Corvettes is tremendous too. I know Nissan's computers for their Maxima's is next to impossible to change for adding performnace. I remember guys adding a CAI and the things ran like crap. I bet the GTR's is the same. They don't want tuner's messing with them and if you do the warrantee is voided.

not knocking the gtr but just because a car has awd doesn't mean when it makes 10 sec power it is going to dead hook on the street.street racing is much different then track racing.many different ways to make a car hook and there are guys that set there cars up for specifically for the street,i know whats out there and i wouldn't think for a second that i could just go and buy a production car and run guys who have perfected their combo's and pass them buy.et wins races not big mph.

...and Mustang II's are stupid...what a joke those were...everytime some Stang brain says Mustangs have been in continuous production since 64 1/2...I giggle and ask them if they're really sure they want to count the Mustang II years....
Don't like Pacer's....but a good Gremlin X with a 401 in it is cool in my opinion.

...and I too support the "Buy American!" creedo...but I do have one Toyota Landcruiser mixed in with my 3 American cars....I bought it used....it was a good deal...and it's brakes work...and it doesn't go into phsycho acceleration mode on me either....In case it ever does...I let my wife drive it so I'm safe, don't worry....

FWIW I think the GTR is quite a nice car but you are coming across as overly pompous. Surely you have read the warrantly posted right? Who the hell would want a "fast" car that you can't trounce without voiding the warranty - I suspect the ZR1 (orZ06) driver would not have that same issue, even if he added slicks and evened out your AWD advantage while handing you your ass..
I have always bought American, but currently own a Honda Odyssey as the family hauler - the price was right. I personally don't care what others own - to each their own but it seems to me like 19TTA89 has you in "checkmate".
