drove around last night with no problems. Left the garage today and nothing. Swapped wastegate with known good one, inspected vac lines, bypassed wastegate solenoid, pulled intercooler and checked it for leaks, inspected hoses-all with no change. even tightened turbo mounting bolts. puck moves freely. I'm out of ideas.

Does it feel like it's gettting boost because if it does it could be a bum boost gauge.

Inspection time...

Back check your boost gauges' hose from gauge to motor. For signs of popping loose and getting cut or kinked.

Pop the downpipe off the turbine housing and inspect for signs of damage to the turbine wheel.

Take off the MAF pipe and inspect for signs of compressor wheel damage, and or if the nut has come off the shaft of the turbine wheel and is allowing the compressor wheel to spin freely.

If the puck moves freely, you did not porting to the wg hole, and it was working perfectly, this is the inspection order I would start with.
Keep us posted.

Ended up being the puck. The side of the puck was catching on the turbo not allowing it to close all the way. Threw the unported elbow back on. Everything all good, but doesn't spool as fast unfortunatley

Glad you found the culprit, always something dumb like that.

Yeah. sucks about the elbow though. It's nicely ported but the oversized puck that got put on is kind of wobbly and that's why it was catching on the turbo. When it would work and not stick the spool was faster than the stock elbow. Nice while it lasted:rolleyes:;)

So it was pucked up:biggrin:

LOL yeah. It's fixed now though. I took some time to see what was actually going on. I smoothed the edge of the puck and now it seems to work fine. Too bad I already commited to a THDP. It was too good of a deal to pass up. I'm sure someone will want the elbow though, the port job is real nice on it and the elbow is not caked with rust. I might wait till this winter to put the THDP on though so I can get the manifolds and crossover ceramic coated to match the DP.
