imo, I think you have two different problems as well. I would agree with the starter being one of them. Try what the others have said when it doesnt start.

The cutting out problem is going to be electrical. Mine would run great til I built a little boost then it would pop, break up then eventually die. Sometimes it would start right back up sometimes it would do nothing. Finally got it started and did the ole Ford wiggle test. Grabbed the starter wire from the battery and she stumbled then died. Crawled underneath and found the wire loose, VERY loose. Tightened it up and all is well ever since.

I had a no start problem and the cause was the aftermarket alarm box.

Just trying to help.

troubleshooting can be frustrating and time consuming.

Take your time and do it right.

Can you provide a link? I can find no such place, any searches done on dbelectric come up "0"

I TYPED IN BUICK MINI STARTER & CHECKED OUT PRICES THAT WAS CLOSE TO THAT RANGE AND FOUND THEM THE FIRST TRY ITS ACTUALLY NOW 67.00 AND SOME CHANGE IM NOT GOOD WITH THE LINKING THING YET OR I WOULD HAVE DONE IT , BUT HERE IT IS SIMPLE

GO TO EBAY IN YOUR SEARCH BLOCK TYPE IN "PM301" & IT WILL COME UP DBELECTRIC.

Actually it doesn't come up DBELECTRIC, it comes up DBELECTRICAL. Big difference when it comes to doing a search which explains why I couldn't find it.
