oil pan hits main studs

friend had ma heads put on and the cam button wasn't set correct and it knocked
they took apart and found the oil pan was cracked because it was hitting the main stud bolts
anybody have this happen before?
any idea what it could be?
i would guess wrong arp hardware?
maybe stud want in all way?
i believe its a stock pan
the aftermarket pans will all be same around front and rear correct?
just the sump is bigger?

I had a similar issue when I built my engine. The pan needs a lil massaging regardless, but much less if you swap out the two hex nuts for two 12 pt. nuts on the rear main studs.
