I see 2 different oil pump pick ups ! Does it matter if you use the one with the plate on the bottom or not?

If you use the mellings 20IS, check to see if there is a big open hole under the center metal piece, some have it and some don't. The sealed power has a complete screen but bigger mesh they can pass the small stuff. I would, if possible clean and reuse the factory one. None of them are perfect, pick you poison.
