Hey guys!

I ordered that stall kinda second guessing my self. How its street drivability with that stall? Steve says you wount even notice it on the street that you have a high stall.Anyone else have one and could tell me?

mike

Steve's right...thats the converter I'm using it will show itself only if I build boost against the foot brake.

:)

Pat's 10" convertor

Mike,
I just installed a 10" from Pat's with my new trans and have put about 200 miles on it street driving and love it. I can't tell much difference street driving the stock convertor vs the 10" convertor, but when I get after it that's when you can tell the difference. Don't worry you'll love it.

Bill

Mike,
No worries, that 3200 will be fine. You will love it. I believe Bill has the exact trans you will have.

Not to hijack here. But Bill,
You guys like the trans? :D I hope it is working well...

Brian

Is anyone one of you locking it up in the 1/4? Will that single disk hold and to what horsepower?

I have a trans from Brian and that converter and I had no problems driving it daily......

I have a 10" 3200 stall from Pats and for normal driving it feels just like a stock converter. When I am at the track I just lean on it real hard and it stalls right up to 3200 at about 5# of boost :D
I have locked up the conveter at WOT on the street only and it seems to hold fine ,, when I get my car back on the road I will start locking it up on the track and see how durable it is.

Suicde Six,
I haven't had any problems backing up.

Brian,
The Trans has worked out great. Still in the "break in" and haven't put my foot into it all the way yet, but it is great so far.

Thanks for the reply,It just seems that youd need some super sticky tires with that setup. Some guys like frying the tires and are disappointed when someone that can hook that power beats them.I agree that this convertor will leave room to grow, and most guys will down the road but by then the convertor is well worn, the tranny has been beat up either by heat or slippage. This man seems to me that hes looking at locking this thing up from time to time and its going to shorten its lifespan. You gotta tell these vendors what your plans are or youre going to be dissappointed.
