OPINIONS..Members that only use the site for Sell and buy parts

Theres a few members that all they do is post NOS NOS NOS NOS part this and that in the For Sale or buy parts sections and contribute jack otherwise.

Some other guys selling Oldsmobile parts on here as well on here just selling and buying parts thats it.

IMO they are leeches and if they are kicking that much parts on here they should become vendors!!!

It pisses me off I dont like it!!

People are growing horns with the economy like it is. I dont want people to miss out on a good deal/parts to get their junk going.

I just dont like leeching/hustle BS on the site.

Just wanting to vent.

Thanx to all thats giving fair prices and not gouging! I know I try to be fair with prices in the few parts I sale from time to time

I rarely go to the "For Sale, either cars or parts, and I rarely go to the "Want to Buy" section either, but I think that every site is plagued with that scenario, and I don't think that there is a simple solution. I don't see any site having the manpower to sit in judgement over who only goes to the site to sell, and who goes for other purposes. Nor do I think that they want to. They would just be driving away members to go sell somewhere else. This is biggest and the best of all of the turbo Buick sites primarily because (1) of the management and how it is managed, and, (2) it's supporting supplier / vendor base, and (3) because of it's membership. The biggest drives the best, and vice versa. It is the biggest because it is the best, and it is the best because it is the biggest. If you lose 1, you will lose the other. Just my IMHO & FWIW.

I hear ya. But then when you have this as a sticky........

"We have guys selling everything from Air Fresheners, T-Shirts, stickers, downpipes, radiators, rods, pistons, cranks, etc... All under the guise of normal members "just" sharing a hobby with others... Whether you believe it or not these guys make just as much or more money then vendors sometimes for several reasons. Main one that concerns me is selling products on TB without paying advertisement fees!!"

I usually click the "New Posts" tab and see the same NOS stuff from teh same few and dont think its right. I mean does it take 2 years to deplete your NOS parts to help the Buick community out...LOL

One thing that irks me are the "make offer" posts in the "For Sale" section.

If I had power over there, I would remove those posts. If you make a post to sell an item, put a price in the post or move your "make offer" item to E-bay.

X2! In fact, I've always thought that the "POLITICAL VIEWS" section should be elimintaed completely. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with turbo Buicks and like "TurboDave" just said, "they contribute absolutely nothing to the rest of the board". Turbo Buick cars ARE this site's main purpose, period! If you don't agree with Obama, Harper, Sarkozy, Chavez, etc, go talk about it somewhere else, but not on this site.

Yeah, we have our stupid "free" healh care...("free" being the key word here) but nothing is really free. It's one of those governmental programs that WE CAN'T AFFORD. It's also one of the reasons why we're so deep in debt...and because of those bad decisions, every citizern ends up paying...

I'm personally really tired of seeing people on here who are parting out decent restorable cars. And I don't mean one or two...they are parting out 10 or more at a time. Then they charge outrageous prices for parts. But I guess people will tell me "hey its their cars, let them do what they want with them!".
