Got the tans torn down, only thing that has problems is the direct clutch drum, any one have the GM part number handy. Also my rear internal gear seems to be pressed on the output shaft, ( tech manual said some were) however I can move it forward and back about 1/16 " and feel a slight rotational wiggle in the splines. Will the output shaft and gear have to be replaced. Thanks for the help.

A tiny bit of play is OK on the rear ring gear. And I mean TINY if you want to control noise going into gear.

I think the high/rev drums are only available used. Is GM still selling the drum?

i dont think gm has new drums anymore.ive got about 100 or so good ones.75.00 each is the going price.we are secretly working on..............ill get to that later

Let me guess. A high/rev clutch drum with a much higher friction area capacity. You should be able to sell tons of those.
