The people that give out of the kindness of there heart are harder to find these day:biggrin: I know one guy that gave $100 with no strings attached and never posted because thats the kind of guy he is and why i call him a true friend of mine:smile:
Geno is the winner of the prize from TR Custom Parts! Thanks for donating Mark!
What a great thing to do guys! Great group of people here!

Congrats Geno !

Thanks for getting this going to help out Scott.

Bryan

Awesome! Congrats Geno! When will the other prize winners be announced? Thanks again to all!!

Not sure about the other prize winners, can SGRIM please announce them?

GENO graciously declined the prize and I have made a donation directly to Scott on his behalf in addition to what he already sent him! Now that is "Fast with Class"!!!!!

Doing well Bryan... Thanks for asking. Although it looks like i might have a possible setback. Doc thinks I might have a torn rotator cuff in addition to the broken scapula on my left shoulder. I have an MRI scheduled for next Friday to confirm. Other than that I have to get a CAT scan on my neck next week then see the neuro-surgeon on the 27th. Hopefully I'll transition to a soft collar then.
Car is still sitting in storage, I'm anxious to get some dudes together and strip what I can off of it.

Will miss this car a lot! Not to incriminate Scott, but there was once a time in Henderson we were in his car against a silver C5 Corvette with a gray bearded man and a younger attractive blonde female! Lined up directly on Sunset highway which is straight true paved and lined like a "drag strip." Manual Vette he bogged off the line and Scotty took off like a banshee. It felt as if we definitely had daylight under the tires and it was not even a contest. I can remember a few others as well, one a stock appearing GT Mustang. The white Ts are true sleepers and this car people still misjudged it all the time.

Im sad about the car but very thankful for Scotty being around and beating the odds. Him and his wife Alicia and good friend Emil (Bruisr) had many a great night at his house with BBQs and kicking back and benchracing. Quite often he would do work on my car and only ask to be paid in beer and is first rate all the way. People like him are few and far between and I am glad i had the pleasure of not only meeting him but also consider him a great friend even though i live now 3k miles east!

P.S. Get ready Scott, you may just see me, come November, hint hint!!

congrats Geno!
it figures you would donate it back, your a class act!
Hope Scott is making a good recovery,
I was there to witness the misfortune,
I shudder when I think of what I saw when I got to the scene,
the actions of this board make me glad I'm a Buick owner, and member of this board!
Thanks to all of you!

Scott any updates on the rotator cuff? How is therapy going? Did you get the car stripped yet? Hope all is well with you.

Bryan

Sorry Bryan, I missed your question. MRI revealed torn labrum which they are not going to repair at least not right away. I did however have "adhesive capsulitis" (sp?) basically the shoulder was full of scar tissue and no amount of therapy was going to get through. I ended up having a procedure called Manipulation Under Anesthesia. They put me under and "crank" my shoulder through it's range of motion to break up the scarring. It really worked. I have almost full range of motion now but it's still weak... doing PT 3 times a week for another couple months. Other than that, I'm out of the neck brace but it's still very stiff. C6 & C7 have naturally fused which I'm told is a good thing. I'll probably always have limited range of motion but I'm coping. Looks like permanent loss of feeling in my left index finger also. Overall, I'm feeling good. Just starting to dabble a little bit in helping a few locals with their cars. Thanks again to all for all the love.... means a lot!

Manipulation Under Anesthesia...sounds painful. Im sure you are glad to be out of the neck brace !! The limited range of motion should be minor, I had C5, C6 and C7 fused after my accident. I now have a Titanium plate in my neck with 6 screws. My biggest loss of movement is downward, I can no longer touch my chest with my chin. I also lost some range to my left. It really hasn't stopped me from doing anything except martial arts which I have become too old for anyway, lol. Is the loss of feeling in the finger from nerve damage? Therapy sucks but it definitely helps, hang in there. Keep us posted on your recovery. Good luck to you !
