Hey just getting ready to buy a new turbo but have no idea what to get. My goal is to be efficient, have a ton of power, but be safe.

Here is my engine build

4.1 long rod stroker
Rjc girdled
1985 turbo block (taller deck height)
Gn1 irons
Champion ported lower
Ported upper plenum
80 lb injectors
224/224 weber cam
1.65 Harland sharp rockers
3.5" downpipe
4" Rjc exhaust
Precision front mount

Thinking of trying e85 but also already have a razors alky kit if needed.

I have now a what I believe to be a 6667 ball bearing turbonetics, but I am looking for more.

What kind of performance are you getting out of the present set-up?

What do you consider a ton of power?
Why a 224/224 cam...not the most "efficient" choice.

Compression ratio?
Tire height?
Rear gear?
Converter?
Trans?
Fuel Pump?
Volt Booster?
Which fuel? (Decide)
Get larger injectors for E-85

If you want to update to a t4 tang there are a lot of options that will support more power. If you have a 68mm turbine in your current turbo you can update the compressor and pick up some potential. What is boost and exhaust pressure at full boost from 5000-6000rpm? I doubt you will see a ton of power just changing turbos.

The cam choice decision was based on forcefed3.8's build because it sounds good and that car et's where I want to be.

Compression ratio is unknown actually
28x11.5 15 tire possibly 30x12.5
3.42 gear
3300 stall
2004r
Fuelab 42401 pump
No volt booster
I guess I will just stick with the alky since I already have it and the closest e85 station is 40 miles away

My goals are to run low 9 in a 1983 wagon

If your goal is low 9s I would look into a PT-7168cea ,if you have all the supporting stuff ..(converter,fuel,, Ect...) or 4bolt world..
