plug wire help

[NCC1701]

Good morning everyone,
Here 's the problem, I have one bad plug wire (got a chunk of insulation missing off of it) I am gonna order a set of Reds wires, but is there anyway I can safely wrap this wire until the new set arrives?
Maybe electrical tape? Maybe patch the wire with silicon?
Any thoughts on this????
Do any of the other vendors carry these wires?

Yes, I've temporarily wrapped wires with electrical tape. It worked perfectly.

And glad to see you're using Red's wires...cheap, correct size, and gets the job done. I STILL use his...even into the 9's.
