Precautions/Care for storing rebuilt engine??

Is there any thing different or extra that needs to be done to an engine that is being rebuilt but won't be used right away ( 6-12 months)?
Anything for long term storage of engine?

With three turbo Buicks it may not be that long before it would be needed but better to ask first.

Thanks,
Gary

I saw some neat little "dessicant(sp) bag" spark plug inserts in Eastwood's catalog that are supposed to keep moisture out of the combustion chamber. They screw in just like a sparkplug. Outside of using "real" motor oil to coat the cylinders, pan and sealing the openings, I don't know of anything else.
