Looks like it's time to switch to a different brand turbo.

T netics or comp turbo come to mind if I was to buy another turbo.

Maybe, its the second CEA unit I've had fail around me with very limited use. There are 3-4 others I put out there without any issues. It seems to be a crap shoot.

Like I said earlier, I have a friend who after started having a 30% to 40% failure rate with the ones he sold stopped dealing with precision.

It sucks for him real bad because the one CEA turbo he can't return or get replaced is the one he has tattooed on his arm.:ROFLMAO:

Also just recently witnessed a 6262 precision fail with 50 or so miles on it and no strip time.

WOW................if the top rated brand is suspect, where do we go from here? Maybe a survey of who is using what turbo and their results or problems?

WORK turbochargers built me a BorgWarner.

Without a failure analysis it's kind of a crapshoot isn't it?

Wonder if we will ever see any BW turbos with a Buick T housing. That would be nice.

You mean like this???

How about Banks Engineering, www.bankspower.com/ they are the diesel & RV performance experts? Many www.bankspower.com/ articles by Gale Banks to refer to..................

The Borg turbos seem to have a more robust bearing section plus Reed has his own 360 degree bearings to make them even better. Reed at work has great customer service as well and is also a Buick GN owner.

JPWalt1987 can you post all angles of that bad boy?? Is it 4" inlet 2.5 outlet or some other config?? Have you installed it??

is the price I posted in the ball park of what you got it for? How long did it take to get??

Its been installed for a while. Still good. I went 130mph on my first trip to the track with it at 27-28psi. I think I have one of the first BW turbos set up for the 3 bolt housing. It took a little while because it was more or less a prototype at the time. I can't say what I paid for it though.

How is the spooled compared to a dbb? Also is there an oil feed line provision? Can you post pic of exhaust wheel?

I dont have any pics of the exhaust wheel on my phone. I have never owned a DBB turbo so I couldnt say. I use a PTE turbo saver for oil feed.
