problems with g-body

well has anybody had any problems with g-body parts, well my question i got an 84 grand national, and bought a ignition modules for 140.00 but when i received the module all the protective coating was all melted and stuck to the plastic that it came wrap ed with, so i called them the same day, and the lady that answered the call, said the guy was in a meeting, and had 50 other calls to attend to, so i call again the following week and nothing, they said they would call me back, and never did this has been going on for over a month, well called them today and said they would call me back, again:confused: what gives, the gn has been parked with no module!!!!!!!!!!
 
I can assure you that Brian will take care of you on this. He has been super busy. I can't say enough good things about that place. I had an 84 as well and had ordered a new coilpack from NAPA...it got to me melted as well. I believe it has something to do with the wire protector goop in the unit. The lady at Gbody has been a thorn at times but I get over things easily :) I am sure your patients will not go un-noticed...
 
well justin, its the time i have to wait, i use that car as a company car, and its been down for over a month, i understand when there real busy, but i got a machine shop and busy all the time, but i think they could have at least called me and told me, something like there out of the ecm, or will call you later, but nothing. come on bro, you know that ain't right, but i will wait and see what happens, they look like a great company, just disorganized, thanks.

We have hired alot of people in the last few weeks. We have been training them quick as possible. Any problems with an employee just e-mail me direct. I'm one person doing what I can that is why we are hiring more people to shift the load off of me.

Please only e-mail me if it is something you have tried to resolve & can't. This gives me more time to yell at our suppliers ;)
 
Brian is a top notch guy, he just talked some sense into me the other day. Thanks again even though you probably don't know who I am.

why are you yelling dude (caps lock), this is 2010, i don't have to talk to people on the phone all the time to know they are doing everything they can to correct a situation, email works just as good if not better sometimes. i've never had a problem with Byran or GBody, and if i did, I have confidence that it will be rectified. maybe you had a bad experience by the sounds of it but i'll tell you right now, Bryan is ten times better than poston.....and i've bought a lot of **** from both of them.

so what's your story, or do i even want to know.
 
nevermind read your other post.......i can see your gripe, i would prolly have the same reaction if i got reman stuff when i paid for new. people do make mistakes, hell i do all the time. it's how the people fix those mistakes that defines their character. if you never gave someone a chance to fix the mistake then you really can't bark too loud about how they do business......just my .02 cents.
 
Nothing new, there have been more then a few posts expressing problems with gbodyparts and I've heard the same excuses from gbodyparts for years!

Just find the parts you need from someone else unless like to dick around.

I'm sorry to post this but I'm getting sick of reading about people getting screwed around. You shouldn't have to work that hard to give someone your money and yes I have had first hand experience.

My 2 cents and not slander but what I observed first hand

The last time I did biz w/gbodyfarts was in person. The workers Brian had working for him were total idiots. The low down mangy types you'd pick up off the street in the projects somewhere. None of them had any clue as to what they were doing. They couldn't distinguish the difference between a fuel pump from a seat belt retractor. They kept bringing me the wrong parts, despite me trying to describe/explain to them what it is that I drove 300 + miles for. (this was after I had issues for months getting a knock gauge - decided I was going to do face to face biz next time)


Brian himself decided to have social hour outside with a friend that dropped by shortly after I walked in. Once an hour elapsed with me waiting for Brian to come back (since his numb skull workers couldn't get a simple order correct), finally Brian came back inside and he was able to get me the rest of the parts I needed very quickly. He did give me a little bit of a hook up though. So Brian can be an o.k. guy but the morons he had working for him that day didn't know their job, which doesn't surprise me when people complain about not getting the right parts or not getting them at all. Plus the fact I was a paying customer that was put second fiddle to a friend dropping for social hour instead of helping me and getting me on my way still gets me.

Also this isn't a slander post towards Brian, it is me telling what I observed.
 
Scott Last time we dealt together was over a Knock gauge back in 08. Drop shipped I do believe. It took a while to get it or it wasn't received.

87Regal3.8SFI yeah & there is always another observation. You accidently received a new Black brake switch. Yes a Re-call unit from some ones collection we had bought out. It was the most dangerous part you ever received.Once you listed it on ebay though it was a Highly sought after discontinued new original part for the true correct restoration.

I will agree with you on the people we had in Ahoskie. I only had a few that were worth what they were making. Firing 42 employees in 21 months I didn't put up with much. I think you may be over exagerating about the fuel pump & the seat belt retractor. I have also read your other posts where you weren't impressed with our shop. I know you see 10K sq. ft. Gbody shops all day long with 80 some cars in the front parking lot every day. Mine just wasn't up to par with the rest of them.

Funny how 2 guys had the same problems receiving a knock gauge. I do appreciate you remembering me hooking you up.

You also forgot to list the disclaimer I had on eBay that it was for use in a show car only and not recommended for a driver.

No I'm not over exagerating. I told your employees what I needed and they would bring back anything I didn't need/request. They clearly did not know their job or anything about what they were doing.
 
Brian is a stand up guy just bought many parts from as have for many yrs no problems ever thanks a million Brian GREAT PARTS AT THE RIGHT PRICE.

I never stated it was drop shipped. I never stated we would not pay for shipping. You can post what ever you want it doesn't make it true. I have drop shipped Brake units for other vendors.

About 2 months ago we had a new A/C compresor shiped out. It was a reman in a new box. I ended up second daying another new unit Saturday delivery. The part was there so he would have it by Saturday & be able to have his car running. E-mailed him a return label. Took a little while to get it back but we were ok with it. The customer didn't call up yelling at women or being belligerant. He told the girls what was going on they e-mailed me. I responded when I wasn't on the phone or dealing with a customer.

We returned it to our supplier & they made good on it. Not sure if you were just so angry that you were not getting this but that is what we do. When you call acting a certain way & are speaking with some one & they treat you the same way back is that a surprise?

At this point I'm not compensating you. If 2 months ago you would have returned it no problem. You installed it & used it. I just can't seem to get that thru to you.

Your not going to try & hold us hostage call it junk & then tell me what you will pay for it or you will slander me.
I don't need customers like this or the headaches assosciated with this.
I do not know any company that needs customers like this. With the amount of customers & products we ship our mistakes are a very minimal percentage.
We are Human & we do make mistakes. We do take care of it.

I'm also not going to re-hash things that happened with any one else back in 07-08 what ever. I think we pretty much covered what happened at that time. It was taken care of back then.

IF my memory serves me correctly that was me he was talking too, A LONG WAY SHORT OF SOCIAL HOUR:wink: If you must know we were discussing BUSINESS!

Friends do conduct business... Want guess how much I spend with him a year:eek: That might explain why he spent an hour...

Also if I remember right you are one of the ones that bitch about people posting good things about Brian in others feedback threads, especially bad ones. However it doesn't take you long to hope aboard the opposite train though does it...



READ THE RULES! If you have a problem start your on thread. We do not protect the vendors here but we sure don't expect them to take harassment. If you had a problem with a vendor and made your thread, leave it there. Bump it everyday if it makes you feel better...
 
Brian either you cant read or your ignorant I did not call your stuff junk iI am just stating a fact you sold me something advertised as NEW NOT REMANUFATURED you just keep spinning it! Why would I lie about what your girl said about it being drop shipped! Remember Brian you would not get on the phone dont worry I wont charge it back but rember what goes around comes around!!!! No Shane you are wrong here. I don't care personally if anyone praises Brian or bashes him. Why would I? In fact I usually do not even jump on the "gbodyfarts sucks" posts despite reading some of them. I have however kept a lid on my 2 cents until now.
