I plan to build a factory production 4.1 in the near future. Need info regarding which ARP head studs I need to use, when mounting ported production heads to the 4.1 block. Also, which ARP main studs should be used.

Earl, you listed the same part number for main studs and head studs is why he is asking. The part number you listed is for the mains.

What pistons do you suggest?

I'm having Earl build mine for my 4.1 NA build. I bought a set of 4" bore Ross pistons that are good for a turbo build that I won't be using. If interested, shoot me a PM. But, Earl can build you a set as well.

I'm running ported stock castings. With alum heads, it'll depend on what the boss height is.

4.1's take shorter studs/bolts since the deck holes aren't countersunk. If you have heads that are taller than stock, a set of 3.8 studs might be the right length for 4.1s with taller heads.

Moral of the story.... MAKE SURE the hardened washer get loaded before running out of threads.
