Hey guys, who has done it?

I went to the Local 1/8 mile track this past Saturday and to my surprise after looking at track photo's, and buying one in their photo trailer:wink: I pulled the driverside front wheel 4-5 inches off the ground. Funny thing is, the front sway bar was still on, stock shocks, upper/lower rear control arms, etc.

I had air bags and 28x10.5 ET Drags only, that I recently bought off a fellow board member.

The car is full weight 3500-3600lbs more with me in it, I weight in at 225lbs, NOTHING taken off of it anywhere. except for the Fat/skinny set up. Still has AC/HEAT, nice stereo system with amps, everything....

Combo was TA-49, Champion GN1's, Precision FMIC, Lonnie Diers Stage2, 3000 Vigalente, 55's, street chip with low timing, not my race chip, Razor Alky w- Single nozzle, boost was 23-25psi.

1st Pass - With regular street chip tune.

60ft - 1.52
1/8 - 7.14
MPH - 93.52

2nd pass -

60ft - 1.54
1/8 - 7.15
MPH - 93.35

3rd pass -

60ft - 1.55
1/8 - 7.23
MPH - 92.57

4th pass - Put race chip in with 26 degrees of timing. Waaay more power but started detonating mid way through the run. Milvolts showed 720's which is way to lean and had 15 degrees of knock! Anyhow, I'm sure this would have been in the 6's pretty easily sux I had to abort the run.

60ft - 1.54
1/8 - 7.37
MPH - 84.09

Anyhow, has anyone ever pulled wheels with the front sway bar still on? and being full weight?

RB

This is the link to the pic. Can't really make it out do to not being blown up on screen. When I asked the lady to bring it up on her competer you could clearly see it:) I think next time, I'm gonna take it off, mabe get more air and 60ft in the 1.4's:eek:

I went off of 3000 RPM, however much boost that is. I was racing bracket that day for the first time and wanted to try and keep it consistant while staging and hitting the light dead on. Ohh, no ebrake either.

Drag shocks in the front, everything else stock, MT DR 275/60 rear, 235/60/15 fronts.... on the street.

Nice, that joker really hooks up. I'm looking at upgrading my turbo to a 67 or70 and the fuel inj too, to accomidate the GN1's heads:wink: Probably will have to wait until after the new years. In the mean time, I'm going to get a TT chip burnt for pump gas/ALky....I'm sure it will do a lot better then.

1997, stock motor, stock turbo. 11.98 w/a 1.62 60 ft. Wheel came up about 3-4 inches (Twice!) Video still below doesnt show the full height of lift. It's mainly your launch technique (with kudos to Buick engineers for building the car the way they did!)

He's a busy guy which I understand, but he's fun to chit talk with! I called him and requested a bunch of parts off of his car and I think he almost thought I was serious.

Ray: I have a chip from Eric also that WORKS!! He has done a few for my friends also and the are happy as well.
Wicked V6:>>>bet on Black lol!

LOL. Hey, I will get on Eric's site here in a few and order one. Atleast when I do upgrade the turbo and what not, he can re-burn the chip for me to match my combo.

Stevemon, I can see the wheel is up dude, kewl!!!

Wow, finally found the picture:

I used to pull the DS tire much higher, but then I went and put on the HR rear sway bar, and it launches much more level than ever before. Kinda boring now. I still have the front sway bar on it.
