question: can too much alky foul out plugs

i just added a dual nozzle kit and the car ran awesome for 2 days. then it started spitting and spuddering around 1500 -1700 rpm. seems to rev OK in neutral, and seems to drive ok once i get over 2000 rpm. i had a single nozzle 15 and now i'm running 2 10s.

i'm running the smc kit. i think my alky starts coming in at 10 - 12 lbs and maxes out around 22 lbs. i'll have to double check but i think that's what it's set on.

we thought maybe it could be a bad maf, bad coil pack, bad wires, or bad plugs.

i unplugged 1 injector at a time while it was running and all of them seemed to make the engine stumble, which led us to believe that all cylinders are firing.

any input??

I think you have it here...I have some similar stumble in my setup...its only under part throttle acceleration. Well I realized it while watching the SMC controller...it happens as soon as the spray light comes on. I have a TT chip that is burned for a bigger cam and heads (waiting on the money to actually do the upgrades) and 60 lb injectors...mine is rich stumble. It doesn't happen if I go WOT...only if I hold it at part throttle while the spray comes on.

I bet if you watch your controller the sputtering happens only when spray is on. If so I would venture to say that you've got more fuel than your combo can use. I just turned the spray "on" point as high as I could without knock to alleviate how often I encounter the problem. If I reach 17 pounds of boost I most likley really "mean it" and I'm at WOT.

I know on Razors kit that when you hit the button at idle it will stutter and stumble...to much alky and not enough air...you are flooding it....

it stumbles before it goes into boost. doesn't stumble at all in neutral. i haven't had any time to play with it in the last 2 days. plus it's been raining. hopefully tomorrow night i can figure something out with it.

Your O2s should show if its to rich? Also my car would stumble a bit with a 50/50 mix of denature, and water. Then i found a place that sell Methonol, and it stopped, it loves straight meth!!! Now it will pickup rich knock, but i leaned it out, and now its fine.
