A link gave me a GM part # of 12223861 , but no parts store can cross refrence this to a actual part. I think the TTA came with a 3 bar MAP, and the parts store gave me a # of 16040749 for this car. Can any one conferm this? Also, are there good or bad brands of MAPs?

Thanks in advance.

Look at the post from pacecarta in the link
http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/showthread.php?t=187698

Good MAFs = GM OEM
Bad MAFs = Mostly everything aftermarket.

Looks like a good # for the TTA map

Is there a car year and car that the parts store can look up to come up with a # 12223861 MAP? As the local parts stores can't ( or are uncapable of) cross refrencing to this number.

Thanks Mike

Yes, I'm trying to get Razor's kit running TODAY. Today is the last chance I'm going to have to finish this thing for a while. The part stores close in one hour. I fully understand that 12223861 is a good if not stupendus part number. BUT, it doesnt meen $#!! to the pimple faced, fast-food trained, parts slingin, monkey spankers I'm dealin with here...

They need to know what car it came on. eg: 89 TTA?

Thanks Pete, I guess we were posting at the same time. I'm off to the parts store. Wish me luck. :D

No parts stores carry the 3 bar. Its only available from GM or AC Delco is a 213-1562.

Aftermarket companies like FAST, AEM, MSD, etc sell the three bar as well in their packaging.. typically a lot more $$. Inside its the same 12223861 part number.

Did I sell you a kit without the 3 bar?

RE: quote(Did I sell you a kit without a 3 bar?) Yes, but I didnt ask for one, and I dont think you charged me for one. Just got the kit hooked up today. Cant wait to try it out. I'm hopeing it's as simple to tune as it was to hook up. Very nice stuff  . I've got a few crazy ideas I wanted to run past you, but I'll post them in the alky section.

Thanks

Mike
