I have a pt67 with an.85 exhaust housing. It was not spooling very well at all. Seemed better last year. I ordered a .63 housing. In the mean time I found out that my art carr convertor was toast. I now have a precision 9 1/2 single disk lu. What will give me the fastest 1/4 mile times? If I had time I would try my .85 again with new convertor and fuel pump and then swap it and try the .63. I'm on a short time schedule to get motor in car and car tuned for pinks all out in Dallas. I'm not worried about quick spool on the streets for now. I do have a stage right trans brake. If I don't put the .63 on I might be able to get some of my $220 back. So if I can get it to spool at the line will the bigger exhaust give me a better 1/4 mile time or not?

The .85 housing should give you more HP. The .63 will bring your power in sooner. Your overall combination needs to be considered. Your cam is small and the heads sound like stock size valves with mild port work. For the track the .85 may be better because of the brake. I would think the .63 would be better for overall performance for your current set-up. I'd like to know how it works out.

Thanks. I will leave the .85 on when I put the motor in. It is also hot-jet coated too. If it responds good I will leave it on otherwise try a swap.
